Icewind Dale 2 Mouse Cursor
Hi, First I want to say I am really impressed with Wine. Its about as good as Cedega and sometimes better in my experience. Anyways my problem concerns Icewind Dale 2, after starting the game up my mouse cursor is not the gloved hand in game version but a mix of that and the KDE desktop cursor. It looks like a black square with both cursors overlapping. Naturally this makes it difficult to play since the cursor ends up blocking the view wherever I put it. Has anyone else had this problem and if so know how to fix it? T...

...gxusyu.bgm.sewerage5665pills.us/f74/ Cynthia told the group that she originally took a Circle K clerk job as an interim position while she looked for something better. On her second or third day behind the counter, she received a phone call from her nine-year-old son, Jessie. He needed a baseball glove for Little League. She explained that as a single mother, money was very tight, and her first check would have to go for paying bills. Perhaps she could buy his baseball glove with her second or third check. I am woken by a call from Victoria Tennant.'Welcome to LA!Steve and I were wondering if...

Setting up NTP server
Greetings, Please treat this post with kid gloves as I am bit rusty of the late on centos and last NTP server that I worked on was during centos 5.1 days. I am going to have to install centos 6.3 in coming week in all windows environment. This box will be the tunning glpi and ocs-inventory. I am planning to have two NICs: one facing the raw in...

Does Berkeley DB and Rails seem like a good match?
I''ve been reading up on Berkeley DB and I''ve been refelcting on the Rails philosophy and it just seemed to me like the two should go together hand in glove. Rails seeks to abstract the programer from squirrely database coding which is great. My only problem is that you''re still left with a large component, namely the databsase server (MySQL, PostgreSQL..etc) which is treated like a black box...these databases are hugely complex and mayb...

Ices0.3 and Perl 5.8.3
Has anyone got Ices0.3 to complile and make under when linking with Perl 5.8.3? I posted this a while back...but it needs a revival :D <p><p>I'm sure it's a Perl problem (maybe way I've compiled it?) but here's where 'make' throws down it's gloves and runs off into the distance. ------------------------------------------------------------------- /usr/lib/libc_r.so: WARNING! setkey(3) not present in the system! /usr/lib/libc_r.so: warning: this program uses gets(), which is unsafe. /usr/lib/libc_r.so: warning: mktemp() possibly used unsafe...

1 should be 2. huh?
There''s another quirk I wanted to bring up. It''s about the failure message with should_equal and should_be. x.should_equal 2 a.should_not_be nil When they fail they yield messages like: 1 should equal 2 nil should not be nil When I''m caught off guard, which can be often, these messages confuse me. 1 should equal 2? No it shouldn''t. nil should not be

Another Fedora decision
...ailed, gave up, and went with an ill advised 10 character password that I forgot within 30 minutes after the installation was complete. The problem is the decision to stop innovating ways to incentivize irrational users into producing stronger passwords voluntarily, and instead bringing out boxing gloves to make everyone do it by force. It's inherently adversarial. Someone else made an analogy with the anti-immunization camp. The analogy has some fatal flaws, but one of the ways it works is the irrational reaction component. As it turns out if you call these people names, tell them it's s...

Plan to free myself from AAH
Hi, I'm actually using a slightly old version of AAH with Asterisk 1.2.1, because at first install it was perfect for my moderate knowledge of Asterisk. It is working well but I gradually introduced many changes to dialplan during normal use and now I'm feeling like in a straitjacket! Moreover I'd like to have the chance to upgrade Asterisk regularly. I have not the experience to

Rethinking WineConf
Hi All, This past Wine conference, while great fun as always, was not as well attended as Wine conferences in the past. So I would like to stir up trouble by suggesting we rethink WineConf. For those that have not attended, the Wine conference has been a mostly annual affair since 2002. It is open to all, but is advertised as being aimed at Wine developers. About 35 people attend each year.

comments for joel about rails in software discussion
...e the whole thing. I can Create, Edit, Update and Delete without writing any code. As long as I don''t leave the table. DO NOT LEAVE THE TABLE! In fact, don''t even glance outside the table, like to get some labels for some ids in a popupmenu. If Rails is already taking a latex glove to my db schema, how about feeling up those foreign key constraints I set up? Kind of a good hint about how to arrange has_many and belongs_to associations, ain''t it? OK, forget foreign keys. Let''s pretend I''m too amped on Mtn Dew to care about imposing data intergrit...

winetricks vcrun2005 does not appear to install system32 dll
I'm a newbie, sorry in advance :p I have been searching here and reading threads and can't seem to find an answer, hence this post. I saw a nice example of what I am trying to do so I'll copy that format and perhaps it will illustrate better than I can explain. I'm using Ubuntu Hardy, 64bit. My only goal currently is to install the redist, using winetricks is the proper method
