Commercial SSL certs on Asterisk 1.8.10.0 with Polycom phones for encrypted calls using TLS and SRTP?
Hi all, We're testing TLS and SRTP on Asterisk 1.8.10.0 and have it working with a commerical (not self-sign) AlphaSSL wildcard (GlobalSign) using Blink Lite 1.6.2 as per https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/Secure+Calling+Tutorial We've tested with Bria on an iPhone and that doesn't recognised the commercial CA (GlobalSign Root CA). On a Yealink 28P with V60/V61 is registers over TLS, but can't do SRTP. Yealink are...

Thunderbird can not import S/MIME certificate
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 Hi, in May 2015 I reported [0] that I can not import my S/MIME certificate. Issuer is GlobalSign. Jan Horak reassigned it to the nss guys ("This seems to be problem in NSS code, reassigning to nss component"), but then the ticket idled and was eventually closed by EOL of Fedora 21 (though I stated it persists with F22). I just reopened the ticket because it still doesn't work....

LDAP SSL
I have a doubt about the ssl certificates and I believe that doing here already solves some doubt that somebody has it. Can I use self-signed certificates, for example, certificates that I obtained with GlobalSign, or do I need to be locally generated non-validated certificates? Dovecot vs.Clients - strange behaviour, diagnostics sought
...l client: I started by using telnet as a client, and talking IMAP manually. Seems OK. * Mutt: "mutt -f imap://my.imap.server:994" seems to work well, although mutt keeps reporting details about the SSL certificate, informs me that it belongs to the proper server and is a valid Globalsign-issued certificate -- and keeps insisting I either reject it or accept it once. * Apple Mail (Panther's version, 1.3.11 (v622)) works, though it seems to have problems with large mailboxes. Then again, it had these same problems with other IMAP servers as well. * Thunderbird does...

[OT] Where to buy S/MIME ??
...ns about the wisdom of a private key without a pass phrase stored in an application that interacts with web sites. Anyway so used openssl to create private key (with aes-256 encryption and pass phrase) and then a CSR. But I can't find anyone who sells certs for S/MIME to send the CSR too. Globalsign but they wanted $89 - no one else. Found a few sites that offered to "send me a quote" that I think were intended for corporate accounts. Where do regular users who just want an inexpensive certificate usable for S/MIME from a CSR generated the traditional way go to buy a cert? -=-...

SSL Certificate Chain Support
Greetings. I was wondering if there were any plans to add support for an SSL certificate chain file? This is useful to provide a valid certificate chain for lower cost signing authorities. I'm afraid that I'm not 100% positive of the implementation requirements. Although it does seem that OpenSSL supports this concept. I am aware that Apache HTTPD (via mod_ssl) and Courier-IMAP offer

chained ssl cert not working
I am running a production server with 40 pop3 users using dovecot 0.99.14. I am trying to get a chained certificate installed that I purchased through godaddy.com. I need some clarification on how to do this. I found some really vague instructions on the dovecot wiki http://wiki.dovecot.org/ChainedSSLCertificates?highlight=%28chained%29 Unfortunately these instructions are very confusing for me. I

How to configure ssl cert chain in dovecot 10-ssl.conf file
Hi there, Does anyone know how to do this: "Put all the certificates in the ssl_cert file. For example when using a certificate signed by TDC the correct order is: Dovecot's public certificate TDC SSL Server CA TDC Internet Root CA Globalsign Partners CA " I try to set these parameters in the conf.d/10-ssl.conf as below, but it seems doesn't work. --- ssl_cert = </etc/pki/dovecot/certs/mail.mymailserver.com.crt ssl_cert = </etc/ssl/certs/dovecot/sub.class1.server.ca.pem ssl_cert = </etc/ssl/certs/dovecot/ca.pem ----...

using signed certificates for TLS/SSL
Hi, I have, in one customer, a web server running on a Verisign-signed certificate SSL certificate. Everything works fine, IE and Firefox connects on https without asking anything, which usually happens on self-signed certificates. I'm trying to use that certificate on dovecot, but clients (Thunderbird basically) keeps saying the certificate is not valid. yes i'm using,

LDAP SSL
Hi Rowland, The test environment is totally isolated and we testing with images of the client machines. We're just trying to iron out any issues post the PDC role move. We have a small list we are going through. The SSL bit is one of them. Once the new environment is stable, we'll be migratingto AD. I can no longer use TLS for Windows7 and Outlook
I currently use Ubuntu 20.04 with Dovecot 2.3.7.2 and OpenSSL 1.1.1f. A few months ago there was an update to all these systems and since then I've had to talk W7 and old Mac clients through disabling ports 993/995 with TLS enabled back to ports 143/110 without SSL or they could not pick up email. Thunderbird users (ie; me) were unaffected. Could anyone share a set of port 993/995 SSL
