One to Many example... please!
Hi,
I am pulling my hair out trying to work out how to put together what
should be a simple app in rails. The app is to CV''s so I have a table of
CV''s and each CV can have multiple skills. Skills are in a 2nd table
below;
CREATE TABLE cvs(
id INT not null AUTO_INCREMENT PRIMARY KEY,
first_name VARCHAR(30) not null,
family_name VARCHAR(30) not null,

select information from sqlite_master error
Hi,
I''m having fun playing around with Camping...I am slowly working on extending tepee to a personal e-notebook sort of tool (never lose my papers/revisions....hehe).
I''ve given tepee an oswd css design, and am currently adding a admin page that I want to show the ruby version, sqlite version and db size and db stats information.
I tried running:

How to Simulate UPS on battery?
...it possible to simulate a "UPS is on battery"
state?
Some background:
UPS comm port is connected to and monitored by server S1.
Server S2 runs upmon and upssched. upsmon on S2 looks at S1. That
link seems to work fine. upsc, when run on S2, works and prints out
all manner of info gleened from the UPS that S1 is monitoring.
What I want is for S2 to shutdown after 10 seconds of the UPS running
on batteries. (the eventual goal is for S2 to shutdown after 20 minutes
of the UPS running on batteries, but I am using 10 seconds to reduce
the testing time)
Here's the upssched.conf f...

moving onto returning a data.frame?
I've been studying some of the code and I'm still a little shakey on the
proper method for returning a data.frame from a C function (which is my
ultimate goal here). I've started some code that I've "stolen" from the
archives and I'm running into crashes, etc. I've been trying to gleen some
insight from the src/main/scan.c file and didn't find many comments in

Generating a long, unique "ticket" number.
Hello --
I would like to setup a system where a user can generate a "ticket".
This ticket will be stored indefinitely. The ticket will be sent to
someone who does not have an account on the system and therefore, I
would like to ensure some level of security in that ticket number.
Basically, the other user would receive an email like:

Thank you. Yes, I gleened from earlier posts in this thread that
there are different system ID byte values, depending on whether the
partition contents should be addressed using LBA or not. (Not that
I even understand much of this LBA versus C/H/S stuff. I don't.
I only understand this stuff well enough, in general, t...
