em watchdog timeout on UP, 6-stable
Updated my Athlon-xp 6-stable system last night, got an em watchdog timeout for the first time a few hours later, during a fairly high-traffic period. System is UP but does have device apic in the config. Any chance this is the recent race condition? Workaround? ifconfig em0 down, ifconfig em0 up seemed to cure it, at least for the moment. Thanks, Barney Wolff -- Barney Wolff I never

systutils/arcconf errors on 9.x versions
Back in July, this error was discussed briefly on the mailing list(s). It appears that a fix (r238182) was submitted for inclusion in 9.1 (early). This problem still appears in 9.1-RC1. Will the fix be included in 9.1-RELEASE (or better yet 9.1-RC2)? Thanks. pfsync between 8.4 and 9.2
I just started rolling out 9.2 to all our production machnes, which are currently on 8.4. We have tested it pretty throughly internally and are very happy with it, but as part of the deployment have hit a problem. We have a pair of boxes running as a firewall using carp and pfsync. One of the - the 'passive' one - has been upgraded to 9.2, and all works fine as far as carp si concerned,

still mbuf leak in 9.0 / 9.1?
...ble though. It hangs after vnode cleaning, normally you would see detaching of usb devices here, or other devices maybe? I've read the other post on this ML about mbuf leak in the arp handling code in if_ether.c line 558. We don't see any of those notices in dmesg so I don't think that glebius fix would apply for us. I'm collecting system and memory information every hour. Script looks like this. less /etc/periodic/hourly/100.report-memory.sh #!/bin/sh reporttimestamp=`date +%d-%m-%Y-%H-%M` reportname=${reporttimestamp}.txt cd /root/memory-mon top -b > $reportname echo &quo...

every 2nd echo-request malformed when ping -s >4067
Hello, while checking new mtu9k-setup, I discovered that ping has some odd behaviour. If I use payloadsize > 4067, every 2nd icmp-echo-request seems to be malformed: ping -s 4068 -D 10.5.49.65 1st: 12:21:09.048447 IP 10.5.49.126 > 10.5.49.65: ICMP echo request, id 46597, seq 0, length 4076 0x0000: 4500 1000 0f2d 4000 4001 a507 0a05 317e 2nd: 12:21:10.052891 IP 10.5.49.126 >
