Converting Fortran or C++ etc to R
I'm going to try my hand at converting some Fortran programs to R. Does
anyone know of any good articles giving hints at such tasks? I will post
a selective summary of my gleanings.
Cheers, Murray

New release
I can confirm git head builds and passes /make fullcheck/
(skipping the noise part of test_streams.sh) on
- armv6-linux (Raspbian), GCC 4.6 & GCC 4.8
- i686-pc-mingw32, GCC 4.8.1
- MSVC 2005 Express 32-bit (make fullcheck with MinGW)
- MSVC 2013 Express 32-bit (make fullcheck with MinGW)
Furthermore, I've also ran the test_streams.sh of FLAC 1.2.1

Beginning lm
I have ussed lm to generate a basic line correlation:
fit = lm(hours.of.sleep ~ ToSleep)
Note: From "Bayesian Computation with R", Jim Albert, p. 7
I understand the simple y = mx + b line that this fits the data to. Now apparently I don't understand formulas. The documentation indicates that there is an implied "intercept" in the formula so now I want to try and fit the

Client with SSL client cert support?
Good day, all,
I've gleaned that dovecot has support for verifying SSL client certs on
connect. What IMAP clients have people found that support sending a
specific SSL cert? I can't find this feature in Thunderbird, at least.
Thanks,
Peter

SC.exe equivalent in Samba?
Hello everyone,
I'm trying to determine if there is an equivalent to the WinXP/Vista/
Server command SC.exe (service control). From what I have gleaned, the
svcctl API in Samba tries to replicate the other direction
(controlling a Samba server's services/inits from Windows/MMC) but I'm
looking to control a Windows server's services from (in my case)
Linux. Essentially, I'm

nv50 piglit change between 7.8 and master
7.8 branch (533b7663) : 209/246
master branch (c882c31) : 216/241
In short :

5 fail -> skip
1 pass -> fail
So the only regression is glean/clipFlat
Output:

Logon Script Doesn't
Hi,
I've finally been dragged kicking and screaming into the wonderful world of XP.
I've been able to join a domain and login with the help of the docs on samba.org and
gleaning info from this list. Google and I don't get along.
My question is How do I get the logon script to run when XP logs in? Win 98 doesn't
have a problem running the logon script.

Why is transform="km" the default for cox.zph?
To enhance my understanding, and that of my students, I have a question
about cox.zph in the survival package.
If I have correctly gleaned the high-level point from the 1994
Biometrika paper of Grambsch and Therneau, it looks to me like
cox.zph provides a mechanism to test for a simple trend in plots
of a function of time, g(t) versus the scaled schoenfeld
residuals and it also provides some

Identify multiple users doing reverse port FWD with their pubkeys
Hello,
I hope it's the correct ML to get support for "advanced" ssh use
(sorry if it's not the case)
And I would be very grateful if someone could help me on this issue.
Here is my challenge :
- I have X devices (around 30) and one SSH server
- Each of them have a unique public key and create one dynamic reverse
port forwarding on the server
- All of them connect with the

MacOS R and tcltk
>From what I can glean from the sources and bundled packages, the tcltk
package isn't built by default for the MacOS port of R. Looking at the code
there doesn't seem to be any real reason not to do this except that perhaps
tcl/tk isn't available on the builders machine. Is this the case?
Since I have a need for cross platform access to tcltk from R, and since I

Log analysis
Hi everyone,
Ok, so I admit I'm asking this to avoid having to do my own research. but
I'm also asking in the hopes of avoiding doing my own scripting.
ACB Radio is looking at moving across to Icecast. There's really not a lot
to stop us at this point. But we are keen to retain access to total
listener hours, average listen time and amount of data served per
mountpoint.

[LLVMdev] Phase Interactions
Dear all,
I am doing few experiments to do understand optimization phase
interactions. Here is a brief description of my experiements.
1. I picked the list of machine independent optimizations acting on
llvm IR (those that are enabled at O3).
2. for each optimzation in the optimization-list
a) Compiled the program using 'clang -c O0 -flto program.c'
b) opt

HP R3000 XR, warning or perhaps error
Hi,
So far I've gleaned heaps of useful info from the list and got mostly
running with NUT. There was a thread by Paul Battaglia and Kjell
Claesson about the R3000 which has helped me get so far, but now with
the patched driver I still have this on startup:
# /usr/local/ups/bin/upsdrvctl start
Network UPS Tools - UPS driver controller 2.0.5
Network UPS Tools - BCMXCP UPS driver 0.11

How can I figure that? Ok, class is easy, but decode? pci.h offers
functions to set vga decode but not to get that info ...
thanks,
