Hi all, please excuse my posting what is probably an FAQ, but getting the mail archives is excruciatingly slow (~70 bytes/sec). I have an XP professional box attached to a Samba server. It works ok-ish (I can actually access everything) but everything is painfully slow. Attaching a network drive takes at least 10 seconds, sometimes longer. Hi, I dont' know why accessing by my client W2k to samba box with ACL settings I can't see the user folders while I can see them without problems by a win98 client. Alright lads, I'm Rick Masters and I know very little about networks, but for some mad reason I have been given the job of setting up a Linux File Server on an NT network.
