AR foreign key problem.
...error:

"You have a nil object when you didn''t expect it!
The error occured while evaluating nil.latitude"

What could be wrong?
Is it something with the way I''ve set up the alternative foreign-key?
or is it a plural/singular naming problem?
Thanks for any help.

Struggling with javac
I've installed jdk-1_5_0_08-linux-i586.rpm and Tomcat.
Working through some initial test install programs, I am finding that I
can't seem to compile .java files into classes.
For instance...
javac -classpath /usr/local/tomcat/common/lib/servlet.jar HelloWorld.java
as instructed fails with a

Switchtower for production?
...ers will we be able to
handle? Or, what kind of performance may we expect from such a system?
I''m asking because another company recently failed to keep their
servers up during the peak moments in a project equal to ours.
Would Memcached be a solution?
(tips and ideas are welcome)
Thanks

Or maybe there''s a better way, using RHTML or Liquid, to achieve the same goal?
It''s a bit of an open question, and I''m just looking for thoughts or hints.

Does anyone know what I can do to stop my application from crashing?

SwitchTower with public key authentication?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Hello,
BEWARE: this is not a Rails question, but a SwitchTower question. I am asking
here because SwitchTower is usually employed with Rails.
I am developing what we may call a "distributed video player" in Ruby (this is
NOT a Rails application). It works this way: I have several boxes that play
videos and one server, where I store the

I tried version 2.6.9 (ubuntu) and 3.0.2 (fedora 9), both have the same

R CMD javareconf in r-base-dev 2.6.0
Hi Dirk, hi list,
I just ran into a slight problem while building the recommended packages
for CRAN in a chroot environment against the fresh backport of your R
2.6.0 packages. It seems that R CMD javareconf wants to change files in
/etc/R during the build, and since I am not building the packages as
root in my etch chroot, this fails, even if I am using fakeroot. My
workaround was to simply

Mailbox size in log file
Hello Dovecot list.
I need that Dovecot log writes mailbox size in all POP / IMAP connections, but I do not know if Dovecot can do that.
I have been searching about that with not successful.
For example, this is the log of our last email platform, different than Dovecot:
06:48:14 025BEE83 POP3 LOGIN user 'xxx at xxx.com' MailboxSize = 61708 Capacity = 2%

not performing any operation.
I tried JGR with both sun-java6-jdk and openjdk-6-jdk,
