I could successfully send 1 short text message to 1 SIP hardphones (using sipsak) (I've not tried to send the same message to several phones and to see I could erase old messages form phone's screen) but failed with Gigasets. Hi, My Gigaset S450ip allows 2 simulatneous calls when each incoming call are targeted to different phones. When both calls target the same extension, the second one is forwarded to voicemail. For some unfathomable reason, Siemens USA doesn't offer the Gigaset IP range in the U.S. I'm particularly interested in the Gigaset S685 IP. Since it's DECT 6.0, and there's an English (UK) version, I'm thinking it should work just fine, after dealing with the walwart issue (and maybe caller ID signalling). When I get an inbound call, I make 4 phones ring at the same time, one is a Snom while others are Gigaset C450IP with _latest firmware_. Hi, With my Gigaset C470IP (with latest 02223 firmware), I can't find a way to access SMS settings from web configuration app or using a handset. Has someone been more successful without using auto-configuration mode ? (For instance, manual says an SMS entry is showing on handset screen but as I plugged my base station into a private LAN, I skipped the whole auto-configuration process ).

I have an asterisk server at home. I'm looking to replace my internal phones with sip cordless (DECT) phones. I'm now looking at the Siemens A510IP base ($90 ) and A510H handset ($40) and the Grandview DP715 base ($80) and DP710 handset ($45). Hi, Is anyone aware of an issue with Gigaset DECT handsets (R630H and N510P) and Asterisk? A client has them, and whenever they try a blind transfer, something goes wrong. Agent 1 starts and completes the blind transfer. Agent 2 answers the transferring call. Agent 2 hears asterisk music on hold, but the caller can hear the agent. Any ideas?
