So in printconf-gui I was able to chose HP OfficeJet 7110 from the printers list and install hpijs driver. Hi I'm exporting some graphs from R to M$Word. I used png, jpeg and bmp and the quality is poor when comparing with the postscript. What is the best way to export a chart to be included in a M$Word file ? Thanks EJ

Hi, Without trying to print 1000000 points (see <http:// finzi.psych.upenn.edu/R/Rhelp02a/archive/42105.html>), I often print maps for which I do not want to loose too much of coastline detail, and/or plots with 1000-5000 points (yes, some are on top of each other, but using transparency (i.e. rgb colors with alpha information) this actually comes through as useful information.

OK, I've tried changing my printcap name from printcap to cups. Printing works fine locally using CUPS on the Samba box. What am I missing here? Why can't I print to the Samba box via the Windows and linux clients? Shared directories work fine. I am really frustrated here and have exhausted Google and all other resources I have. Here's my smb.conf for what it's worth.
