Hi, My example code is this; x11<-data.frame(A=c(.6,.6,.6),B=c(.20,.20,.20),C=c(0.20,.20,.20)) ggtern(data=x11,aes(A,B,C,xend = c(0.7,.00,0.7),yend = c(.30,.50,.0),zend =c(.0,.50,0.3)))+ geom_point()+ theme_showarrows()+geom_segment(size=.5)+ geom_text_viewport(x=c(.45,.27,.37),y=c(.32,.29,.22),label=as.expression("P_a","P_b","P_c")) ggtern(data=x11,aes(A,...

ccomp Composition and ggtern plot...
Dear Users, I would like to use compositions package with ggplot/ggtern, other composition classes of compositional package can be used with ggtern by converting to data frame but I could do anything with c(ount)comp class. Ggplot/ggtern can not recognise comp and also can not be converted to data frame. Is there any other way to do this? Thank you in advance, Levent...

reading ?plotmath you might notice that "_" isn't the propper syntax for subscripts. This will work: ggtern(data=x11,aes(A,B,C,xend = c(0.7,.00,0.7),yend = c(.30,.50,.0),zend =c(.0,.50,0.3)))+ geom_point()+ theme_showarrows()+geom_segment(size=.5)+ geom_text_viewport(x=c(.45,.27,.37),y=c(.32,.29,.22),label=c("P[a]","P[b]","P[c]"), parse=TRUE) cheers. Dear Users, What is the proper way to write symbol, superscript, subscript in ggtern/ggplot? I tried every given example, every possible features of ggplot but couldn?t achived. I just want to write P_a, sigma^2, etc, would you please advise me about this problem. Ternary plot and filled contour
Dear R-Users, I'd like to have some tips for a ternaryplot ("vcd"). I have this dataframe: a<- c (0.1, 0.5, 0.5, 0.6, 0.2, 0, 0, 0.004166667, 0.45) b<- c (0.75,0.5,0,0.1,0.2,0.951612903,0.918103448,0.7875,0.45) c<- c (0.15,0,0.5,0.3,0.6,0.048387097,0.081896552,0.208333333,0.1) d<- c (500,2324.90,2551.44,1244.50, 551.22,-644.20,-377.17,-100, 2493.04)

ternary contour plot
Colin, If your propose is to create a ternary plot with points and vectors, I think easier do this with graphics based plots instead of trellis based plots. Although, with little work you can do with trellis too. I gave you a reproducible code to put an arrow in a ternary plot. I use the function locator() to extract coordinates. The code is the following

CRAN and ggplot2 geom and stat extensions
I am thinking about adding several geom and stat extensions to ggplot2 in the Hmisc package. To do this requires using non-exported ggplot2 functions as discussed in http://stackoverflow.com/questions/18108406/creating-a-custom-stat-object-in-ggplot2 If I use the needed ggplot2::: notation the package will no longer pass CRAN checks. Does anyone know of a solution? I'm assuming that
