Is anybody else gettting these?
I keep getting these smarmy sermons from somebody's mail account. I
include my response to it below, though from its message, it probably
won't be read.

Running COS 7.1708 on VirtualBox 5.1.28
Anyone else having issues getting the VB drivers to load on 1708?
I keep gettting an "Error: unable to find the sources of your current Linux kernel..." message.
I do have kernel-devel installed and I had no issues running 1611 on the same host.
Thanks

update to 5.5 small issues
a couple hours after the update (and requisite reboot and reinstallation
of nvidia proprietary driver), I noticed I wasn't gettting any email.
upon a little investigation, I noted that the update had replaced my
custom sendmail.cf with its own. I don't recall updates to sendmail
doing that previously,....
also, around that time my panels stopped unhiding, so they remained in a

R-help Digest, Vol 124, Issue 12
Folks,
Sorry for butting in here. I ran the code from John Kane below and it worked fine.
I did however get a deprecation message suggesting the use of ggpairs from the GGally package to make this chart.
Unfortunately I haven't found the correct incantation to get the diagonal to display the density plots using the "diag" parameter.
Any suggestions?

ScalarEvolution class returns no valid loop exit count
Hi,
I have problems to estimate the loop exit count of a simple loop with the
ScalarEvolution class.
simple loop:
......
int a = 0;
for(int i; i < 10; ++i){
a = a + 1;
};
......
For the loop analyzation I use the ScalarEvolution class with the following
initialization:
......
void analysis(Function* func)
DominatorTree DT = DominatorTree();
DT.recalculate(*func);

[LLVMdev] TLI vs. TTI
Hi,
I noticed many functions in the TargetTransformInfo interface are duplicates of those already in TargetLowering (e.g. isTruncateFree). Is the expectation really that targets will reimplement the same functions twice? AArch64’s TTI uses some TLI calls in some of its implementations, but why doesn’t the base TargetTransformInfo call the TargetLowering versions by default?

0.24.0 opening excessive TCP connections
I created ticket 961 "puppetd create too many/not closing TCP
connections".
I''m wondering if anyone else is seeing this? Depending on the client
configuration a typical puppetd run will cause hunderds of simultaneous
TCP connections to be opened
to the puppet master. I''m gettting over 300 established connections for a
single client in some cases. If the number of

printers + windows XP
I have samba set up on slackware linux. I have a printer set up on the same machine. It shows up on the windows XP machine and even lets me install and everything. It keeps saying access denied though. I have tried all sorts of stuff to get it to work with the XP machine but I keep gettting the same error.
This is my smb.conf:

printcap name = /etc/printcap

Sortable onUpdate problem
Hi,
I have two sortables with different options (but same tags. just

gain the options that the sortable2 items have.
I''ve tried all day to understand how Draggables and their observers
are destroyed but I keep gettting buggy behavior. Part of the problem
is the draggable and the draggableObserver are

Asterisk 16.6.1: PJSIP: delayed action of core since update to 16.6.1
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA256
Hello,
we're running a small Asterisk appliance on a PCengine APU2C4. Base operating system is
FreeBSD 12-STABLE, most recent incarnation as of today.
Since update of port net/asterisk16 to the latest bug fix revision 16.6.1, we face a severe
"slowdown" of everything that the Asterisk core performs, i.e. outgoing calls are delayed ~
