File\Directory not healing
Hi All. Hoping you can help me with a healing problem. I have one file which didn't self heal. it looks to be a problem with a directory in the path as one node says it's dirty. I have a replica volume with arbiter This is what the 3 nodes say. One brick on each Node1 getfattr -d -m . -e hex /path/to/dir | grep afr getfattr: Removing leading '/' from absolute path names trusted.afr.volume-client-2=0x000000000000000000000001 trusted.afr.dirty=0x000000000000000000000000 Node2 getfattr -d -m . -e hex /path/to/dir | grep afr getfattr: Removing leading '/' fr...

All these gfids of completed heals in the log below are the for the ones that you have given the getfattr output of. So what is likely happening is there is an intermittent connection problem between your mount and the brick process, leading to pending heals again after the heal gets completed, which is why the numbers are varying each time. You would need to check why that is the case. Hope this h...

Hi, Thank you for the answer and sorry for delay: 2017-07-19 16:55 GMT+02:00 Ravishankar N <ravishankar at redhat.com>: 1. What does the glustershd.log say on all 3 nodes when you run the > command? Does it complain anything about these files? > No, glustershd.log is clean, no extra log after command on all 3 nodes > 2. Are these 12 files also present in the 3rd data brick?

The same machines all mount the volume using the native glusterfs client: [root at localhost ~]# gluster volume create datastore replica 2 transport tcp 192.168.253.1:/glusterfs/primary 192.168.253.3:/glusterfs/secondary

Bitrot - Restoring bad file
...uide/bitrot-restore_corrupt_file) I am trying out bad-file-restoration after bitrot. "gluster volume bitrot VOLNAME status" gets me the GFIDs that are corrupt and on which Host this happens. As far as I can tell the preferred way of finding out what file maps to that GFID is using "getfattr" (assuming all Gluster and mount options were set as described in the link). My problem is that "getfattr" does not tell me what Brick contains the corrupt file. It only gives me the path according to the FUSE mount. So how do I find out what brick the file is on? If we assume that...
