[PATCH 0/3] x86: adjust entry frame generation
This set of patches converts the way frames gets created from using PUSHes/POPs to using MOVes, thus allowing (in certain cases) to avoid saving/restoring part of the register set. While the place where the (small) win from this comes from varies between CPUs, the net effect is a 1 to 2% reduction on a combined interruption entry and exit when the full state save can be avoided. 1: use MOV

[PATCH 0/2 v05] lguest: TSC & hrtimers
The following patches are the latest update of the TSC and hrtimer patches I posted on 29/03. Rusty's original TSC patch has been resynced to the latest lguest repo, as has the hrtimer patch, which also incorporates feedback from Jeremy & Rusty: - Change clock event hrtimer to absolute time. 'now' is captured in the host during the hypercall. - Propagate -ETIME back to the

[PATCH 00/12] Xen arch portability patches (take 4)
Hi Jeremy. According to your suggestion, I recreated patches for Ingo's x86.git tree. And this patch series includes Eddie's modification. Please review and forward them. (or push back to respin.) Recently the xen-ia64 community started to make efforts to merge xen/ia64 Linux to upstream. The first step is to merge up domU portion. This patchset is preliminary for xen/ia64 domU linux

[patch 0/6] i386 gdt and percpu cleanups
Hi Andi, This is a series of patches based on your latest queue (as of the other day, at least). It includes: - the most recent patch to compute the appropriate amount of percpu space to allocate, using a separate reservation for modules where needed. - make the percpu sections page-aligned, so that percpu variables can be page aligned if needed (which is used by gdt_page) -

[PATCH 0/8] lguest
As promised to Andrew, and with much thanks to Andi Kleen for feedback, this is the new series of lguest patches. Main change is the move to drivers/lguest (for future non-i386 expansion), but lots of cleanups driven by Andi's feedback and the documentation effort (which made me examine every line of code). It's not perfect, but it's definitely useful. Cheers, Rusty. List of
