How to get podcasters to adopt Speex?
Ok, I made my own sample HTML page and it worked on a vorbis OGG file that I
embedded. No need to download a player (other than the directshow filter if
it isn't already installed) and no need to download sample. It just played
within the browser. I should probably try to release a podcast like this at
16 kbps and see how well it's received.

How to get podcasters to adopt Speex?
...at the
same time. This comes into play when someone is running multiple
VoIP programs (typical of some hardcore gamers) and could also be a
problem if Google's creepy 24/7 audio monitoring advertisement
targeting system ever catches on. (I would hope not.)

How to get podcasters to adopt Speex?
Ok here is something I couldn't see on the description page. We need to
convert to 8 bit audio right? I'm assuming narrow band is 8 KHz 8 bit.
Wide band is 16 KHz 8 bit. UW band is 32 KHz 8 bit audio?

RE: Speex-dev Digest, Vol 27, Issue 18
Can we get a response from Verisilicon on this? We spoke at the VoIP
developer conference and you seemed to indicate that Speex was too difficult
for you guys to implement in your embedded products. Mr. Valin would like
to know specifically what your criteria is to run on your silicon. He needs
to know the following.
What is the maximum code size that you can use?
What is the maximum data

Ah, but speex.org should lead by example. Instead of posting wav files, why
not post the actual speex files as well? Then make it plaingly obvious for
people to download the plugins with links to the page you just posted.

How to get podcasters to adopt Speex?
I would love to see podcasters adopt the Speex format to deliver clear
speech audio at wideband or ultra-wideband formats. However, podcasters
want something that can easily play on Windows, Macs, and even Linux web
browsers. The Speex website has some nice audio demos, but it doesn't
actually offer any HTML embedded samples using actual Speex format. Would
there be a way to do this with

RE: Speex-dev Digest, Vol 27, Issue 18
Hi all,
I cover some VoIP issues. I was at VoIP developer conference and asked an
embedded manufacturer (we're talking Wi-Fi phones) about supporting Speex in
their embedded products. He said that Speex was good but it's too many
things to too many people and that he couldn't supported it in his embedded
products for the following reasons.
* Code size must be extremely small
* Data
