Negative exponential fit
We need help.... We are doing a project for a statistical class in and we are looking at world record times in different running events over time. We are trying to fit the data with a negative exponential but we just cant seem to get a function that works properly. we have on our x-axis the date and on the y-axis the time(in seconds). So as you can imagine, the times have decreased and appear to

redirect actions exceeds policy limit
Hello, We have a vacation/mail forwarder plugin in squirrel mail that allows customers to forward email. It has come to my attention that there is a limit (appears to be 5) on the number of addresses that can be specified. I'm now trying to track down where this policy limit is set. This is the error we see in the customers .dovecot.sieve.log file: main_script: line 26: error: number of

...5.x86_64.rpm.html ? On a test machine I decided to give dovecot 1.2 a go with that RPM and everything went great except I was getting the following error in the dovecot log (and quota was not working): Dec 9 10:50:43 webmailtest2 dovecot: IMAP(auser) rip=127.0.0.1: quotactl(Q_GETQUOTA, nfsserver.geneseo.edu:/vol/email/users) failed: No such file or directory I had seen some messages on the mailing list talking about making sure you build with HAVE_RQUOTA defined at compile time. I wasn't able to determine if the RPM on the aforementioned page was simply missing the rquota code, but upon build...

Samba 2.0.6 Interfaces
We're had some recurring problems with nmbd's on Solaris 2.7 and Irix 6.5 failing to renew their WINS registrations in a timely manner causing the records to become tombstoned. While we've solved it by issuing "pkill" and "killall", respectively, of nmbd nightly from root's crontab, I wanted to alert the authors and other administrators to the problem so similar

Can doveadm rebuild thread indexes?
I'm already using "doveadm search" to update my squat fts indexes (dovecot.index.search and dovecot.index.search.uids) but I'd like to also update dovecot's thread index file (dovecot.index.thread) using doveadm. I checked the new wiki and the archives but didn't see any option for this. (I'm running 2.0.8) The alternative (AFAIK) is to write a script that signs in

Investigating suspected cache corruption
Hi All, I'm running Dovecot 1.1.11 for a site of about 7000 active users with a Squirrelmail frontend. We migrated from Courier (big shout to everyone who worked on the wonderful part of the Dovecot wiki that deals with Courier migration) and I have been extremely happy with the performance gains Dovecot has given us. Not only is the IMAP part of Squirrelmail faster, but our same

Changing a for loop to a function using sapply
Apparently there is one or more concepts that I do not fully understand from the descriptions of a function and the apply material. I have been reading the mail from this forum and have learned much but, in this case, what I have been reading here and from the manual isn't enough. The following code produces what I want with the for loop. From what I have read from this forum, a for
