corfdrci and kendallfdrci from GeneNT
Dear all, I believe there is a problem with the corfdrci and the kendallfdrci function from the GeneNT package. The 2nd screening, that is taking what is not in the intersect of the CI and the user-defined MAS criterium does not work properly on my dataset. It seems to work properly on the dataset provided in the library. -- ================================================================== Ver...

I substitute 'username' here to protect the user id. genent passwd on the user does work and it returns uid and gui of 1000, exactly what we see in the /etc/passwd file. It is the same output as grep 'username' on /etc/passwd Remember, when winbind is off, it works. This is certainly bug 10604 by all measures.

about partial correlation (again)
Hello everyone I tried to install the library GeneNT in order to use the command pcor.confint because I want to construct confidence intervals for partial correlations but among other demanding the specific library needs the library "Graph" which I don't have it and I cannot find it at this site. Is there any other site that I can downl...

File server migration ( win2k to samba on redhat 7.2 )
Hello People, We are in the process of migrating our file server from a win2k box to a red hat box running samba 2.2.3a. We have winbind running on the redhat box and it has joined the windows domain and "genent" shows all the domain users. We know have to move the files from the win2k box to linux box and maintain the file ownership info. It would be great if anyone can point me to resources that might help us . sincerely ANIL

about partial correlation
Hello everyone My name is Vangelis and I want to ask a question about partial correlation. I have used the command "pcor.shrink" to evaluate the partial correlations of a data.frame but the problem is that in the output results I cannot see whether these correlations are significant or not. Is there any command which can show me if these correlations are significant at 95% level or

genetic algorithm
Hi, I am doing some research on feature selection for classfication problem using genetic algorithm in a wrapper approach. I am wondering if there is some package which is already built for this purpose. I was advised before about dprep package but I don't think it used GA there (if I am wrong, please correct me!) Thanks, Ed

FreeBSD and Winbind
I'm hoping this is an easy question, but the way my day has gone I seriously doubt it is going to be. Today, I installed Samba 3.0.24 with winbind support on my FreeBSD 6.2 server. I am able to join my domain and get information concerning groups and passwords from the domain controller (Windows 2003) without any problem. Where I have run into a problem is using getent to get a copy of the

...3.0 has been joined Win2k domain with command "net ads join" & "net rpc join". winbindd & smbd & nmbd started successfully without any error messages. I could use "wbinfo -u" & "wbinfo -g" to get domain user/group list. But I cannot use "genent passwd" to get New mapped uid, it only returned local linux accounts. When I connected to Samba from Windows 2k/xp client, I got a error message - 'cannot found computer 192.168.0.227'. And I got a lot error message in /var/log/messages: Nov 14 15:42:52 maorui 11?? 14 15:42:52 smbd[39...
