890FX AMD-Vi (IOMMU)
Hello, I was hoping someone might be able to tell me why IOMMU does not seem to be found on my system. At the very least is there any way I can get more debug information in addition to adding iommu=verbose to the command line? [PATCH] amd iommu: Dump flags of IO page faults
Hi Jan, Attached patch dumps io page fault flags. The flags show the reason of the fault and tell us if this is an unmapped interrupt fault or a DMA fault. VGA passthrough ? AMD-FX8, GA-990FXA-UD3, G210
Hello, Like many trying and posting here, I''m new to VGA passthrough. Computer was bought, checking compatibility from http://wiki.xen.org/wiki/VTd_HowTo The hardware is mostly not exactly on the list, but mainly new versions of the same series (I think). IOMMU "seems" to be working (not 100% sure what to check). I used debian/wheezy kernel and xen, dom0 and HVM domu.

IOMMU and AMD 890fx
Hi, All the reviews for the AMD 890fx chipset reported that it supports IOMMU v1.2. But I cannot find any mention of that on AMD site. Does 890fx support IOMMU? Do 890fx motherboards with IOMMU exist? Does Xen support 890fx? gaming on multiple OS of the same machine?
Hi, I am new to Xen and I was wondering if the following construction would be feasible with the current Xen. I would like to put 2/3/4 new computers in my house, mainly for gaming. Instead of buying 2/3/4 different computers, I was thinking of building one computer with a 4/6/8-core CPU, 2/3/4 GPUs, 2/3/4 small SSDs, and attach 2/3/4 monitors to it, 2/3/4 keyboards and 2/3/4 mouses, and run VGA

ntpd under Xen Dom0 exhibits extremely high jitter/noise? runs stable/quiet under non-xen kernel.
On a selection of boxes, ntpd running in Xen Dom0 reproducibly exhibits extermely high noise/jitter. Switching back to -default, non-xen kernel ntpd runs with very low jitter/noise. Question -- how can I ''tame'' ntpd noise & jitter when running in Dom0? Is the problem a config issue, or a bug? Already reported this downstream; everybody''s "stumped".

linux 3.3-pre-rc1: Starting domU fails with Error: Failed to query current memory allocation of dom0.
Hi Konrad, Today i tried linuses tree of today (last commit is 4c4d285ad5665bfbd983b95fde8d7a477d24a361). It boots dom0 fine, but it fails to start any domU with: "Error: Failed to query current memory allocation of dom0." With my previous 3.1.5 kernel everything is fine, nothing else changed in config in between. dmesg and xm dmesg attached -- Sander Dom0 shows: total
