Gastman
I've tried the precompiled version of gastman, but it does'n work properly under windows, so I would like
to try to compile it under windows, so maybe it begins to work.
I've tried to compile gastman with mingw, but the db3.1 libraries request the cygwin include files and libraries.
Then I've copied the cygwin's include files a...

Gastman crashes on Win32
Hi,
The Win32 binary of Gastman crashes on Windows 2000 SP4. Same case on all my machines, no error, no log.
Although, the CVS version works great on Linux.
Is it anybody who knows how to compile it with mingw32 ? Or better, could anyone, who already has mingw32 installed, make a binary snapshot ?
Thanks in advance,
Jean-Chris...

Need info on Gastman/Astman
Has anyone used Gastman/Astman successfully?
I have it up and running (Gastman win32), but have a problem with the
creation of end stations on the map. I'm not sure of the format of the
extension to use when creating a end station icon.
Services like Conference bridge and Musichonhold seem to work ok (I use

Gastman compile errors
I seem to be encountering a problem with the db.h file when compiling
gastman. Incorrect definitions for functions and so on. Here are the errors:
If I don't copy the db.h from asterisk source to the include directory
of gastman I get:
gui.c:31:16: db.h: No such file or directory
If I do then I get:
gui.c:743: too many arguments to function

Manager/gastman
[This is being re-sent because the previous one got caught in the
'moderators' mailbox. It would seem that the moderator never approves those
emails though? It would be nice if that would happen.]
[Original Message]
Tonight I thought I might start hacking on gastman to extend the features in
the directions that I would like. Except then I got stuck, because some
information is not available to gastman (AFAICT)
What I would like to do is create a gastman like interface with the
following features:
* Restrict channels/extensions displayed to one or more of

New gastman clone + what else?
...some work on asterisk for me over the next couple
of months, before they start, I would like to get a better idea of what
other people need, which I can then dovetail into what I think my own
'requirements' are...
Initially, a largish area that I think needs to be worked on is some sort of
gastman type interface which will run on MS Windows, and be usable for a
receptionist answering phone for between 10 and 100 lines.
Currently, I am thinking that these are some of the requirements.
* like gastman they should have the ability to move the 'icons' around the
screen to group them by...

Gastman and New Extension
I finally got Gastman to compile but I get a bunch of "failed

latest CVS on Mandrake 9.1. Last error is:

gastman executable for Win32?
Does anyone have a recent build of gastman for Win32 that they would
be willing to post or email? (I can host it if you want to share.)
The newest version I can find is here:
ftp://ftp.digium.com/pub/gastman/
It's a year old, and crashes (Illegal Instruction) on most events.
Does anyone have something newer?

Gastman and SIP?
I have been testing Gastman and Astman with SIP calls. As I have no Zap
phones, so I have a few question on what is normal behavior? When a call
comes in and I have created extensions for all phones (example: Channel
= "SIP\3846") Should the little lines connect between the pre-made
extension or should they pop...

gastman manual?
hi
I'm running SIP (msn messenger), MGCP (dlink hardphone), H.323 (soon -
netvision 802.11 phone) and CAPI (AVM C2). Can I plot in the known extensions
and use gastman to tranfer calls? I've tried, but no calls was visualized
from the extensions I created ...
and - no - I couldn't find it after RTFM

Astsee v0.1 released - an Asterisk channel monitor for linux/X windows
...thora of inadequacies rampant in this thing, YMMV,
details about what works and what doesn't are on the page linked to
above. This is more of a proof-of-concept release than even v0.1.
Thanks for reading. I hope this provides a viable alternative to the
great but seeming-to-be-not-updated gastman software.

they are relatively limited, and it was time to go ahead and get the 1.0
ball rolling in earnest.

..., rather than just
specifically voice. Of course, it's been developed over the years, and
is now getting more and more advanced, but it will always be designed
from a different point of view, using technology that doesn't have the
same limitations!
My solution, is to use something like Gastman as an advanced console
for the Operator and "power users". It may even be conceivable to have
a small version of Gastman that sits in the bottom of your screen, and
keeps you informed on the status of people and their lines. Could
actually be a handy piece of software - not just for V...

Asterisk server lockup
Hello,
We are trying to deploy a new asterisk server with a Wildcard T400P (quad
T1) card. It uses a custom voice recording app written in the perl AGI.
Now that the machine has been in production, it seems to lock up within 24
hours of reboot! When it locks, we can ping the machine, but we cannot log
in using telnet or ssh. Asterisk stops answering the phone and our Big
Brother monitoring

Iax Client Library Issues? (DIAX, iaxComm, etc.)
...a call.
Has anybody else seen this kind of behavior? I have tested with my
client, with DIAX and with iaxComm and all three act the same way. I
would really like to know if it has something to do with my asterisk
setup, or if it is specific to the client library I am using.
I can watch calls on Gastman and see Asterisk trying to establish the
call (the IAX phone appears) but the actual client never receives a
ringing state event.
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve Sokol
