tunefs.lustre --print fails on mounted mdt/ost with mmp
Just checking to be sure this isn''t a known bug or problem. I couldn''t
find a bz for this, but it would appear that tunefs.lustre --print fails
on a lustre mdt or ost device if mounted with mmp.
Is this expected behavior?
TIA

2.6.23 client systems with any compatible server
I want to have a lustre client running on a system with 2.6.23.12
kernel. (The reason is that there is a special patch that is required
for these 60+ Quad-Core AMD Opteron systems that we have and the patch
is currently only available for this 2.6.23.12 kernel).
Does anyone have a recommendation of how I should get a client and
then a compatible server?
For the server, we only need minimal

...l set for the XCP protocol (Powerware),
including the general information, and Alarm / Meters maps.
The MGE section was already complete for long.
* some more development units have been shipped to developers:
- Alexander has received his one to work on the megatec and blazer USB
side,
- Jim Garlick (Powerman lead) will receive a PDU soon,
- Eric S. Raymond will also receive an UPS soon.
I will soon focus more on the Cables section, and will complete it for all
the EATON ranges.
enjoy ^_^

Recommendations for consumer-grafe GPSes?
2. Recommendations?
My use case is pretty typical. I have one Linux machine I want to
protect, automated shutown is desirable, blackouts longer than a
hour are very rare at my location (the last one I can remember was
in 1993), brownouts are very rare and mild, but summer thunderstorms
are common and can be severe. I'm a good match for your typical
consmer-grade UPS.

soon). The 2.4.0 release is now underway (2.4.0-pre1 has been released
a few days ago), along with some more work (see below).
- units have been sent to many key peoples in the Community, either to
protect their work or simply to establish bridges (Linus Torvalds, Jim
Garlick from Powerman, Nick Barcet from Canonical/Ubuntu, ...).
Thanks a lot to Eaton for supporting NUT and the FLOSS Community.
Hopefully, this is the beginning of a great collaboration...
* the new major 2.4.0 release:
2.4.0 is not far from the final release (~ 3 weeks). This is really a
major release...

Joining forces with the Network UPS Tools
Hi Powermen ;-)
I recently came across the Powerman project
(http://sourceforge.net/projects/powerman/), pointed by Tony Merenda,
from Opengear (thanks Tony). Congrats for your work in this area!
I've thought a bit about Powerman and NUT since then...
NUT currently supports hosts of UPSs and few PDUs (RPCs), and provides
tons of features:
