Hey all,
I've got a couple 79xx phones working peer-to-peer and am now trying to
work on the voice mail.
In extensions.conf:
[ATL]
exten => 4001,1,Dial(SIP/gadams)|10
exten => 4001,2,Voicemail,u4001
exten => 4001,102,Voicemail,b4001
and the corresponding sip.conf:
[gadams]
type=friend
username=gadams
secret=******
context=ATL
host=dynamic
canreinvite=no
nat=yes
mailbox=4001
When this phone is dialed, it doesn't roll over to VM after 10 seconds...

T100P/ TSU 600 installation problem
I have just received a T100P and an Adtran TSU 600 in
the mail.
I seem to be having a problem with the T100P card. So
far I have done the following:
vi zaptel.conf
fxoks=1-22
fxsks=23-24
...
vi zapata.conf
...
signalling=fxo_ks
...
channel => 1-22
...
signalling=fxs_ks
...
channel => 23-24
I then run
modprobe zaptel
modprobe wct1xxp
ztcfg -vv
There are no errors to report. In

PRI D Channel and Caller-ID issue......
I was wondering if anyone has encountered and overcome this situation:
We've got a PRI to our Asterisk system and notice that if a call comes in
from a phone on our network, both caller name and caller number are
delivered in the D Channel setup message. If a call comes to our switch
from off-network, i.e. the LEC, long distance, or a cellular provider,
only the caller number is sent in

The reliability of the connection is important. I use frequently DIAX
through a low end VPN connection (Microsoft PPTP) and no problems at
all.

Newbie - Looking for pointers
Hi All,
I've been lurking on the list hoping to absorb all the knowledge
flitting past while the bits and pieces of my new * server arrive. Well,
most of the bits and pieces are here, and I've got the Digium hardware
installed and (I think) loaded properly (RedHat 9, Compaq 1850R, T100P,
TDM400P 2 port FXS). I'm still waiting on my Cisco 7940/7960 handsets
(ordered with SIP).

Voicemail2 and time stamps
Created new message, not a response with new Subject: line -- check

Good day all,
I just recently upgraded to 0.5.0 and subsequent CVS releases. After the
upgrade, I've noticed that voicemail2 has differing opinions on what
time it is, assume this is because I haven't set the TZ per user in
voicemail.conf.
Anyone have an example as to how to

Is there any additional information I could provide to start tracking
this down? I was thinking about looking into the various applications
source to see how they access the data elements for callerid. I know

IAXy Configuration for Alternate Server
Hi,
I've provisioned an IAXy adapter on a network segment local to my
asterisk server. Provisioning is fine, as is the registration and use of
said device. Since the local address is private address space, I setup
the public IP address of my Asterisk server as the alternate. When
taking it to another location (NAT again behind a WRT54G), it doesn't
seem to work. Here's my current

Windows XP - samba 1.1.9 slow file transfer problem
I'm experiencing a problem with slow file transfer from a Solaris 2.6
Samba 1.1.9 server to Windows XP clients. This problem does not occur
for Windows 2000 clients. In attempting to troubleshoot the problem,
I've run Ethereal on both clients and noticed a marked difference in
the logs of a transfer of the same file from the server.
The Windows 2000 logs shows AndX SMB requests and

Mapping ADS groups
I've got a Samba 3.0.7 member server of an ADS domain. Is there some
way to map everyone in an ADS group to a single user for the purposes
of Unix permissions? I thought I could do this with an smb.conf entry
of:
usernam map = /opt/samba/etc/username.map
and an entry in the username map of
smbuser = @"DOMAIN\Group Name"
but that doesn't seem to do it. Using a username map entry

problem with winbind and Sun PCNetlink
Sun PCNetlink is a NT4.0 PDC emulator.
I'm running samba-3.0.13, joined to an ADS server that has a trust with a

refuses to authenticate against the PCNetlink domain. I can do
getent passwd "ADSDOM\user"
and get an ADS user printed out, but if I use
getent passwd "NT4DOM\user"
