D-Link DGE-550SX support
I found some ancillary information that seems to indicate that there is a
driver that will allow a D-Link DGE-550SX Gigabit fiber NIC to work under
FreeBSD 4.x. Can anyone confirm or refute this, or provide additional
information? If the NIC is not supported, is there a recommendation for a
gigabit fiber NIC that works well under 4.8?
Thanks,

Powervault 220 attached via a PERC3/DC controller (amr) that most of
the data is stored on. The OS is on a pair of internal 18G drives
attached to the internal PERC3/Di controller (aac). It is attached to
the network with a Netgear GA620 fibre NIC (ti).
The panic is being triggered by the "find" run in

it is a kernel bug.
The machine is scheduled to be updated to 4.8 in two we...

OEM'd them and cross-licensed patents with ServerWorks (e.g.,
ServerWorks will have a DDR SDRAM chipset for the Pentium IV later

Gigabit Ethernet is also getting very affordable, with the $300
NetGear GA620 NIC and a 802.1q multi-frame VLAN compatible Linksys
24-port, 10/100 "Gigaswitch" (with two MII Gigabit upgrade ports)
runs ~$700 with ~$250 for a 1000Base-SX duplex upgrade port.
We can talk more off-list (since this is getting mighty off-topic).
