Rails3 how to scope it, using a serialized array ?

I am looking in defining scopes like this :
>scope speaking_english, lambda { where("languages ... includes.... ?", :en) }
which look for instructors in which the languages array include ":en"
Is this kind of scope possible ? or not.... ( just using query )

Faster way to import Thunderbird pop emails into dovecot imap Maildirs?
Until recently, I was using POP on my desktop and imap to access my email
on my phone and laptop. Got tired of not having everything everywhere, so
decided to go full imap.
Followed the suggestions online and created a new imap account for my site
in Thunderbird and copied my pop folders over to the imap ones so that the
emails would get uploaded to the dovecot server and Maildir folders.

can't connect to smtp, or login to imap, pop3
hi all
i'm using fedora core 4, with postfix and dovecot (0.99) installed via yum
i can send mail from the server (using mail), and i can receive mail in
my user mailbox on the server
but i can't send email using a client like thunderbird (it won't connect
to the smtp server)
