I need to write a table that can be opened in Excel or OpenOffice such that there are newlines embedded within cells. After much Googling and futzing, I can't figure out how to do this. ...ave noticed that both packages read data slowly. RGoogleData is much slower than RGoogleDocs used to be. Both seem a lot slower than if one manually downloaded a google spreadsheet as a csv and then used read.csv function - but then I would not be able to use scripts and execute without finding and futzing. I just tried running tc_mmap.rb and noticed that something rather curious seems to happen. The call to Mmap.new in setup seems to cause the test suite to just exit without ever actually running the tests. I reduced the test suite to just this bit of code. This works, although the final test (TypeError) does not pass - no exception in thrown. This is 1.8.1 on Win2k. Any ideas? Dan PS - I

I managed to get an account set up on the centos bugzilla, after futzing with it for a half hour, but for the life of me I cannot get to the page where I would enter a new one. my browser just says "transferring data from bugs.centos.org" and sits there with the little thingie going round and round. for an hour or more. disconnect and try again. same thing. ...en asterisk says 'proxy auth required', but the INVITE packet with the proxy auth doesn't have the attributes. A tcpdump on the asterisk server confirms this. But, when I do a ethereal dump on my PC where I'm running SJphone, the attributes are there in the packet. So something is futzing with my packets, and screwing them up. ...on but I am now in my own private segmentation fault hell. The R build worked fine: make, make check, make install cool. The RSPython build worked fine. Thinking I'm good to go, I run python. But when I import RS python rolls over and dies with a segmentation fault. It has been two days of futzing with recompiles, environment variable diddling and whatnot. ...Manager? with a mouse pointer on one display that can be moved but no desktop at all. The keyboard works and I can start a terminal session. If I remove the laptop from the docking station everything works as expected but not in the station, presumably because it now uses the docking station card. Futzing around I see that systemctl --failed lists nothing, nor did dmesg immediately suggest a reason. In the yum history I see that this driver was updated to 19.0.1-3 from the 19.0.1-2 that installed with. Yum downgrade to 19.0.1-2 did not change the issue. Nor has booting an older kernel helped so far....
