Codec Implementation on Hardware
...les through Arduino Due and Zigbee modules. The audio quality in receiving side is very poor, so I have hope that if I can implement some compression algorithms then I can transmit audio/voice with perceptual accuracy. I came across few compression techniques, and found that Opus is the latest and futuristic technique, so suitable for me. Now I have to start implementing same over any one of my module for testing, but with correct learning approach. I need your suggestions and help to accomplish the task, as I am completely a new technologist in this domain. 1- Which board is most suitable, from m...

OggDisk?
...ld correspond to CD, DVD, BD... disks? I mean data structure (propably on any filesystem) that could be used for audio and video (and perhaps for images too?). Desired features: - Ogg centric - designed to be filesystem/disk type independant (so that you can use it both with floppy disk and 1TB futuristic hologram discs - and of course anything else - CD, DVD, HD-DVD, BD-DVD, flash disk, hard disk location...) - having "more levels" - so you can have e.g. "a film" -> "a collection of films" -> "a collection of collections" - easily detectable (while...

[LLVMdev] Alias-based Loop Versioning
...\ OrigLoop NoAlias_2 \ / \ / \ / Join This is effectively creating a fast-path and a slow-path version of the loop. We would probably need some metadata annotation so that subsequent passes could amend the same checking block. 3. There are some more futuristic ideas like to always version fully, disambiguating all accesses and then have the optimizers transform both the versions of the loop. Then a later pass would decide which checks were necessary and what additional optimizations were done in the speculative version of the loop . Then finally make...

html Search Engine not working
Hi All, Just installed R on my powerbook G4 (Darwin; see more info below) but have trouble with the the Search Engine and Keywords html page after help.start() (with Mozilla 5.0). I've browsed the archives and have seen some references to similar problems, but can't figure out how to fix it so that the search function works. When attempting to search for help using a keyword,

[Asterisk-Dev] RE: [Asterisk-biz] Asterisktraining andcertification :: AstriconTraining
Here here, a bit of documentation online would cut down considerably the traffic on this list asking how to questions. Cmon sokal, put the questions and training material online. -----Original Message----- From: asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com [mailto:asterisk-users-bounces@lists.digium.com] On Behalf Of Rich Adamson Sent: Monday, December 20, 2004 4:18 PM To: Asterisk Developers

Rsyncing without RSH or SSH ?
People, This doesn't seem possible - would it be possible to hack a version of rsync to do it? As an exercise, I want to create a VM image (or at least backup of all the files with rsync) from a SCSI drive in an old Red Hat (NOT Enterprise) v5.2 Linux 486 machine (circa 1999 that does have rsync on it but it has protocol problems talking my server). The 486 has: - an ISA Adaptec 1542

[RFC] Propeller: A frame work for Post Link Optimizations
...of the things clearer: * Propeller relinks. Specifically, it regenerates ELF object files from MIR. Even if MIR were serializable, we would still be starting before CFI instruction inserter pass and then regenerate the native ELF objects. * All the code transformations we are planning to do for futuristic optimizations is on the MIR just like you noted in a previous email. For example, prefetch insertion was one optimization we were looking at where the input is inserting prefetches at specific points in the binary which we will translate to basic blocks at MIR and then insert them there. So, I d...

Direct I/O ability with zfs?
We are using MySQL, and love the idea of using zfs for this. We are used to using Direct I/O to bypass file system caching (let the DB do this). Does this exist for zfs? This message posted from opensolaris.org
