CentOS6: ntfs-3g and writing utf-8 filenames
...aracter
error when I attempt to create a directory or a file when the name
contains an accented char.
I tried remounting manually the ntfs-3g partition using -o utf8 (and
older variants: iocharset= and nls=), but it doesn't work better.
My ntfs-3g disks are automatically mounted in GNOME (as fuseblk). Using
ntfs-3g-2014.2.15-8.el6.x86_64 in an up-to-date CentOS6 system.
Any hint?
Regards,

fuse filesystem mount issue
...ut root has permission to write to it.
I've been perusing the ntfs-3g and fuse man pages (and other docs) and they
all seem to say that the default settings should be to allow RW access
to everyone. but that isn't what I'm getting.
Mount says this:
/dev/sdd1 on /media/SeagateUSB type fuseblk (rw,noexec,nosuid,nodev,allow_other,default_permissions,blksize=4096)
but right-click/properties on the desktop icon shows no write permission
if yer not root: onwer: root, group: root, and all the "folder access"
lines are greyed out.
How would one approach solving this problem?
Thank...

Concurrent scanning of same disk
Greetings,
I am suffering of several weird errors which show randomly and make me
suspect some concurrency issue.
Libguestfs version is 1.28.1, linux kernel 3.16, libvirt 1.2.9 and qemu 2.1.
What I'm trying to do is comparing the disk state at two different point of
a guest execution.
Disk snapshots are taken through libvirt in different moments (I am aware
of caching issue), from such
