Ld64.lld cannot find Foundation framework

I cannot use Apple’s linker from /usr/bin/ as it is not allowed to make external calls from a sandboxed app. Hence my interest in the LLVM lld. > On 7 May 2020, at 19:21, James Y Knight <jyknight at google.com> wrote: > > On Thu, May 7, 2020 at 1:54 PM Edmund Furse <edmund.furse at imitation.uk.com <mailto:edmund.furse at imitation.uk.com>> wrote: > Thanks for your reply. 5.1 surround channel coupling
>Yesterday I have finished writing the ambisonic pan filter for oggenc. May I ask what this "pan filter" is? I made some tentative suggestions for coupling Ambisonic B-format in a post "Vorbis Ambisonic coupling" on 4feb07 I gather from the last monthly meeting, that some of you, including Monty, had problems with the phase behaviour of B-format. Would anyone like a

Proposal for Ambisonics format in vorbis comment.
...e on one thing for > some reason. (perhaps being stubborn) I was a little surprised that you did not discuss the ".amb" format as this is the official file format for Ambisonic B-Format.(3) This has also been used in the wild for many years, particularly at Ambisonia.com.(4) It uses Furse-Malham component ordering and MaxN normalization. (It also only works up to third-order.) Note that Vorbis is lossy. Ambisonics is picky about low-frequency phase and, as far as I know, nobody has checked the extent to which this is preserved in Vorbis. This may or may not be a problem. (It is...

True surround sound for Ogg -- a proposal
...At this point, several things need to happen. a) The format need to be defined, preferably in such a way that it is as flexible as possible, and allows non-surround-capable decoders to decode the W-Y components as M/S stereo. b) I'm going to ask Richard Furse, who has already written a software Ambisonic encoder and decoder, if he will relicense these tools to us under the LGPL. If he agrees, this will make many things much easier and faster. c) The patent situation of Ambisonics in general, and particularly...

Mapping = 1 Ambisonic Vorbis flag
Where can I find the Header file or whatever which specifies the "Mapping" flag. In feb - apr 2007, there was a lot of discussion about Ambisonics and Monty kindly stated that Mapping = 1 ; Denotes and Ambisonic file as opposed to = 0 which is 1 speaker/ 1 channel Has this been written explicitly into the standard? Which standard should I be looking at?

Multichannel Encoding
I'm a mathematician and programmer working on experimental surround sound techniques. Some of the ideas I'm working on require dozens of channels. These channels are often highly correlated and are very well suited to compression. I'm new to Vorbis. Does it attempt to address such issues? Object Audio - Misusing Vorbis?
Hi there I'm trying to use Vorbis in a slightly unusual way, and I'm a little unclear if I'm going to be able to do what I want to do nicely, or at all. Many apologies if I'm on the wrong list, or if this is a FAQ, or off-topic. I'd be very happy to be re-routed! I'm doing a little experimental work on a block-based bitstream format for object audio streaming. This format
