Client cannot connect to Internet
Hello List, This is my first post to the list, and as such I apologize for the length of it. I tried to put as much detail into this as possible. I recently installed Shorewall on a computer running Gentoo Linux. The computer has 3 network cards in it, but I''ve only configured 2. Going the cheap route, I''m connecting my client directly to my firewall using a crossover cable.

Crash in v1.2.3: istream.c: assertion failed on line 99
Hi, I have a couple of people bumping into an issue with their imap process crashing - from the users perspective, their mail client (thunderbird) just stops recieving new mail. It still seems to be possible for them to read their mail using squirell mail. When it crashes, it leaves behind a log message like this on the server: Aug 12 15:52:25 fury dovecot: imap-login: Login:

[Off Topic] humour, XMAS, ground loop - good business strategy
hi, I received this e-mail which contains a "ballad", at first I thought it was junk mail, but then I read through it, for the EE members of this list, it may be quite humorous. I don't know if the ballad is original, but at least it's the XMAS season, so it's something to lighten up your day, eh? -samudra """ How the Ground Loop Stole Christmas

Problems with repeated calls to setTimeout?
Prototype.js and Thomas''s effects scripts use repeated setTimeout calls for timed looping, for instance in time-based observers. On Konqueror 3.4.1 (possibly other khtml-based browsers, too), these observers reproducibly crash the browser. Just keeping open a browser with such an observer is enough. After some time it invariably segfaults. When I substitute setInterval for setTimeout

can a class find out it''s instance name?
Hi friends - a javascript question.... Does the prototype object add some way for a class to find out the variable name of its instance variable? Or does javascript have some built in way to do this? This is confusing to describe - but if I define a variable as some object: var myVariable= new Widget(''fdfa''); can some built-in method inside the Widget class be

Patch : Fix includes
Hi all, Below is a patch that fixes a couple of instances where a function is used before it has been prototyped. There was a little subtlty involved here because the file include/test_libs_common/metadata_utils.h had the #include guard the same as that of /src/test_libFLAC/metadata.h meaning that only the first one included would actually do anthing. Patch below. Cheers, Erik diff -u -r1.4

Vorbisfile changes/additions
Hi folks, I've finished a round of extension and optimization of Vorbisfile. I'm working on docs to the committed changes right now. I'd appreciate testing of new functionality and verifying old functionality isn't broken. Summary of changes: General seeking cleanup; a number of boundary cases dealing with short files and chained files got fixed in the process. The bugs should

The big improvements are: - encoding speed in default mode (-6) is at least 3x faster - a new "loose mid-side" adaptive algorithm should help -1 and -5 modes - a new analyze mode for developers - a autoconf/libtool-based build system (thanks to Matt Zimmerman) - bug fixes related to pipes Check the new comparison page.
