upgraded to 3.0.2 -> funkyness in machine accounts
My old technique was to
1) remove all machine accounts from ldap
2) reimage all machines
3) create all the machine accounts with smbldap-adduser -w
4) switch all machines to domain mode
that does not work anymore...
the machine accounts exist in ldap
but i get this internally contradictory info in the logs

needed to edit the smb rc file at /etc/rc/d/init.d/smb and make these
chamges
daemon /usr/local/samba/bin/smbd -D -s /etc/samba/smb.conf
daemon /usr/local/samba/bin/nmbd -D -s

Machine account found and not found in 3.0.2
Brad,
I found your posting of 2/20/2004 with the subject line of
"upgraded to 3.0.2 -> funkyness in machine accounts" while investigating a
similar problem.
I upgraded to 3.0.2 last week from 3.0.0.
I have a system which I just added to the domain successfully. However, when I
attempt to log a domain user onto that machine, I get this error:
The system cannot log you on to this dom...

I chose Dovecot-LDA over Postfix-Virtual / Maildrop / Procmail due to its
hassle free auto creation of new user maildirs, and the funkyness of built
in Sieve functionality. The on the fly indexing sounded like a bonus at the
time. However as Im sure all people who stress test with index's stored

others previous posts).
I have tried out the recommende...

I didn't really mean making RD the root, but rather telling tablegen that RD
is the "primary" node, corresponding to the input pattern. This would allow
the properties of the input rd SDNode be properly transferred to the output RD
node instead of the MOVE node. I doubt

Configuring Asterisk@home for Sipgate.
Hi all,
I'm new to the forum. Oh no....newbie question coming, I hear you all cry!
I'm playing around with Asterisk@home and have installed software and fiddled around with sip and extensions files.
I have manage to make out going calls through Sipgate using X-Lite but cannot for some reason receive incoming calls. Incoming calls do not even show up on the switchboard panel.
I've
