No is.formula()
There appears to be no "is.formula()" function in R-1.9.1. May I suggest
that
is.formula <- function(x) inherits(x, "formula")
be added to base, since formula is a fundimental R type?

Sometimes it opens, sometimes it closes? Strange
Hi Folks,
I''ve got shorewall 2.0.8 with mdk10.1.
I have this strange things happening. Sometimes shorewall blocks tcp 25, 110.
When I restart shorewall, it opens again.
Any idea what I''m missing?

OpenSSH/scp ->> F-Secure SSH server Problems
Hi,
Is there some know problem between the 'scp' client in OpenSSH 2.5.1p1 and
F-Secure's SSH 2.4.0 server? The client is running on a Linux (2.2.17) box
and server is running on Win2K. When I try to transfer files it asks me for
the password (which I provide) then it hangs. Using 'scp -v' didn't provide
any helpful info; it's as though the problem happened before

resending to new external address
Hi folks,
As you''ve no doubt noticed incoming spam recently massively increased. This
has overloaded our current server (24.74.9.226) which does HTTP, SMTP, POP
and IMAP. To help cope with this, I''ve put up a second server (24.74.9.225)
which will be the mail server, leaving the original server to just be a web
server.
Can I use shorewall on the first machine (version

speeding up [.data.frame
(I'm up too late so this might come through garbled...)
I've just been doing some bootstrapping on data frames and I discovered that
S-plus 6.0r1 was a *lot* faster than R 1.3.1 at the task. Splus was
completing 100 bootstrap iterations in about 4 seconds while R was taking
about 15 seconds. However, doing bootstrapping on equivalent *matrices* R
was slightly faster, 1.5 seconds verses

Slightly OT: The state of users
Hello all,
I don''t want this to be a tome'' but felt a comment was in order.
Many new users (Linux and Shorewall are no different) are more apt to not
read the manual(RTFM) as they view it as "Taking to long" and don''t
understand it''s relevance in their particular scenario. This is
unfortunate in the case of Shorewall. As the documents are not only

...he "SWIG"ified version of the Headers in the
swig/classes/include folder.
I''m against doing this with 1.9.0, since a lot of people are pretty much
still adjusted to 1.8 series, and we are going to need to provide a package
proabbly for both 1.8 and 1.9, since there are some very fundimental changes
between both versions of the Interpreter.
Email me, or catch me on IRC (Which will more then likely be about 3:30,
4:00 in the morning on Monday), so I can start working on this for the
1.9.4release of wxRuby.
Thanks and L8ers,
