Large file sizes.
...mitations in the GB range,
I expect to be dealing with files in the 10-40GB range on a daily basis,
we are a service bureau so our customers send us this kind of data every
day.
Can you please provide me an answer or two to these questions??

What is the easiest way to allow normal users to install printers (which
are available through a Samba server)?
Normally, Windows 2000 and XP need to have a printer installed by the
admin first on a given workstation - only the it can be used by the user.
I want to allow the user to install own printers.
Now, when one trises to right click on a printer on a server and

SMBMount Not Recognizing File Locks
I'm trying to set up a "dropbox" application that will monitor a
directory for newly created files and process them. The problem I am
having is that my linux process is not recognizing that a file is
still being written to by another server.
Here's the configuration:
Redhat Linux with 2.4.9-31smp kernel using SAMBA 2.0.10 client to
mount a share that exists on a Windows 2000

Samba 2.2.8a Large File Support Issues
I know this issue has been beat to death on the newsgroups, but I have
not yet found an answer.
I will make an attempt to include all the necessary info.
Description of Problem:
I am having problems trying to access large files (>2GB) on mounted
smbfs volumes.
To clarify, I am attempting to view large files that exist on an NT
server, from my Linux box, and getting erroneous results.
