Has anyone gotten Fruity Loops 5 to work in wine? I really like this program, but I don't want to have to reboot into windows every time I want to use it. Thanks, Brian

Fruity Loops 7
Hi, I submitted Fruity Loop 7 to the AppDB and it got accepted and then after a little while it got deleted. I don't know why as the notification did not give a reason. Anyway, I've been testing it with .9.41 and a lot of the issues have been resolved. Sound latency is not a problem. In version .9.40 sampling/sound latency was an issue; now, WINE does a better job than XP.

Fruity Loops
With Winetricks, Fruity Loops seems to be working well. The only thing that is not working right now is the packs. I can't figure out why the packs aren't working. If I click on the bass pack, it produces sound; if I click on one of the choir packs, no sound is produced. Linux reads the bass pack as pcm encoded. Linux isn't able to read all the packs that aren't working.

question on "yum --enablerepo=centos "
I'm installing Fruity for Nagios using the 4.4 Single Server CD and want to force upgrade PHP 4 to PHP 5 without having to upgrade everything on CentOSplus. In order to install Nagios, I have to first enable RPMforge. However, to use Fruity, I have to use PHP 5, which isn't included in the RPMforge repository, unless I enable CentOSplus and yum update/upgrade everything (which I did

chmod / chown settings on /var/www/html
I'm setting up a new CentOS 4.4 server to work with Fruity (a frontend program that operates Nagios). For security purposes, what chmod and chown settings do you put on the /var/www/html folders? Also, can anyone recommend any good LAMP hardening guides? While I'm not planning on putting this into production, I'd like to cover all my bases before that's an issue. --------------

Quoi D'Neuf, a beautiful Pinot Noir from the Loire
This bottle of Quoi D?Neuf by Herv? Villemade, a primeur from the Loire, was a real pleasure, a thirst wine that you sip without second thoughts and restriction to the last drop : This Pinot Noir with a bit of Gamay is fruity, gouleyant and fresh. This proves that even tasted several months after its release, a Vin Nouveau can deliver. It arrived on the market on the third thursday of november

OGG in RIFF-WAVE (encoding with MSACM)
So i'm trying to write an app that enocodes WAV files to "Ogg in a RIFF-WAV" files. Theese are used in Fruity Loops, and since the software itself does not have this feature i wanted to write one myself. The point for it is to save space when sharing "zipped loop packages". Such packages contain the samples (WAV) and the song file (FLP). At first i wrote just an encoder

Inconsistent notices during puppetd --test run
I added ntp to my servers running with puppet. These are all Ubuntu machines, btw. I get the following in the verbose output: {{{ warning: Service[ntp-server](provider=debian): Could not start Service[ntp-server]: Execution of ''/etc/init.d/ntp-server start'' returned 256: * Starting NTP server... notice: /base/Service[ntp-server]/ensure: ensure changed

Zil on multiple usb keys
This might be a stupid question, but here goes... Would adding, say, 4 4 or 8gb usb keys as a zil make enough of a difference for writes on an iscsi shared vol? I am finding reads are not too bad (40is mb/s over gige on 2 500gb drives stripped) but writes top out at about 10 and drop a lot lower... If I where to add a couple usb keys for zil, would it make a difference? Thanks. Sent from a
