Will Frottle work with Shorewall?
Hi there,
I''m not subscribed to this list so please cc: replies to me...
I use Shorewall on all my wireless router PCs, and am also starting to
use it on the Linksys WRT54G wireless router (running OpenWRT firmware).
I would like to know if Frottle will work with Shorewall (any version).
Frottle (http://frottle.sourceforge.net/) is a wireless QoS application
that mitigates the "hidden node" problem inherent with 802.11b/g Access
Points. It uses netfilter to queue traffic - clients to the access
point run Frottle in client mode, an...

Frottle + Bridge + IMQ
Hi,
I''m trying to configure IMQ to work on the same machine with frottle
(http://frottle.sourceforge.net). The problem is both feed themselves
packets through netfilter queueing mechanism, but currently there can
only be one netfilter queue per protocol family.
To explain why I need IMQ in the first place I have to explain what
frottle does. It is a deamon that tweaks...

Traffic Control using with an application
Hi!
I want to use traffic control for a resource controller for a multimedia
middleware platform. Is there a library or syscalls, so that I don''t
have to use the Systemcommands?
Thanks for your help!

making a traffic shaper for wireless users
Hello all,
Im new using tc, ive been reading the howto at least 2 or 3 times, but there''s a
lot information to aquire all of it quickly.
I''ve installed a linux box as firewall for a wireless Network in a hotel, this
box is a radius for the access points and it uses iptables to redirect and
permit/deny the customers to use the net. So it uses iptables to count the bytes

Do I need an entire asterisk system on client stations to demultiplex and
extract the flow they need or merely a small version with protocol
libraries ??
Of course I will employ a pseudo TDM on AP like frottle and priorization
queues on all nodes
Do you think is this possible ??
please comment about... has anybody with some experience on this ?
Regards

QoS in wireless networks
Hello,
I''m trying to configure several wireless routers with QoS support. The
idea is to implement differentiated services so that VoIP traffic gets
the maximal priority, then video, control traffic, interactive data
traffic and best-effort traffic.
I have seen that CBQ used to be chosen as qdisc for implementing
bandwith share in DiffServ but now HTB is preferred because it is

Optimizing linux for the routing of realtime video
I''m currently trying to optimize a linux machine which acts as a Layer 3
router of RTP H.263 video. Occassionally I''ll get delays related to layer 2
wireless retries, thus rendering the video on the recieving end
stale/useless.
Is there way to optimize a linux machine to route realtime video? In my
case, losing a few frames of H.263 is better than having the video delayed
