libvirt with sanlock
...n running a "virsh list" even takes a
couple of minutes (like about 5 minutes) before it responds. After this
initial time, virsh is responding normally, so it looks like an
initialization issue to me.
Is this a configuration issue, a bug, or expected behavior?
Thanks for any advice...

Sieve, shared folders, different daemons

namespace separator in all configs is '.'. This is conflicting with
shared folders. Can we simply run one of the dovecot/imap daemons
configured with a different separator and shared folders without having
impact on sieve and the current connected users to the standard ports?

help, please! matrix operations inside 3 nested loops
...ough all this (there are probably smarter and faster ways to
calculate this but i am not too deep into R and bioinformatics, and i need
to calculate this only once). could the 3 for-loops already be too
computationally intense for adding matrix operations?
any help would be much appreciated!
thx, frido

virsh attach-disk with cache=none and io=native for raw devices (online)
...formance reasons).
The goal is to attach a disk online, directly with the proper performance settings.
I know I can set this in virt-manager, but then I have to restart the VM to apply the change, so this is an offline operation.
With virsh edit, I guess I also would have to restart the VM...

Migrating from NetApp to ZFS

are these tricks and can it be the cause of the slowness?
We've tested it on different ZFS storages and the problem seems to only
exist on ZFS storages which have their ZIL on SSD's
Just creating and removing a file from the CLI is fast though.

I was looking for a table of dovecot index compatibility between the
