Installing latest Wine on Debian
I installed Wine using the Lamaresh repo for Debian, but unlike openSUSE's repos, I found out that it installs and old version: 1.1.42. Is there some repo for Debian where I can install latest version from? Or should I better try building it from source?
Sorry if it's a silly question. Thanks.

Problems with ImgBurn, err:aspi:ASPI_GetNumControllers
...erhaps there's a kernel module that just isn't quite right. Or perhaps some other kernel related issue... My level of Linux expertise is probably somewhere between an apprentice and a journeyman.
FYI, I attempted to figure this out using various versions of Wine including 1.3.32 from the frickelplatz (http://www.frickelplatz.de/debian/dists/sid/installed/) repository, 1.3.37 from Wine for Debian Sid (http://www.winehq.org/download/debian) page, and 1.2.3, 1.3.30, 1.3.37, 1.4-rc5 using PlayOnLinux. All are affected, a prime reason I think some other OS component is to blame.
Any advice will be...

I have a Toshiba Satellite L500 Laptop running 64bit Linux Mint Debian Edition 201109.
The laptop has ATI Radeon M92 (HD 4500 / 5000) graphics.
This is based on Debian testing and because at present there is no WINE in the testing repositories, I have installed 1.3.30 from:
http://frickelplatz.de/debian/
This seems to work fine: I can run LTspiceIV perfectly.
However ...
I have tried to install a game from the BBC Doctor Who series:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/theadventuregames/download/tardis/Install-TARDIS.exe
According to the WINE AppDB this should run OK.
Installation seem...
