querying TASCON on 127.0.0.1
Got a positive name query response from 127.0.0.1 ( 192.168.128.1 )
192.168.128.1 TASCON<1b>
So I'm somewhat at a loss here.
Any ideas of where I could dig into to fix this, if it is a
misconfiguration or a bug in samba?
Thanks in advance,

PHPLDAPAAdmin: SMB-Password not hashed
Hi, all there,
first of all I like to introduce me cause this is my first post on this list: I am a networkadmin from Germany, struggling with Apple, Linux and Windows for a couple of years now ...
I have occassionally worked with samba as a domain controller for three or four years now, but with systems windows 2000 / windows 2003 server / windows XP clients.
I have successfully installed

samba 3.5.3 time-stamping issue
I'm copying a windows share onto a samba share, with robocopy to
preserve filetimes and ACL's, but I get a lot of
"ERROR 50 (0x00000032) Time-stamping destination file ..."
It seems samba does not like to change the timestamp to the original time.
Robocopy uses the option /copyall

winbind trusted domain regression after upgrade to samba 4.2.10
Hello,
I've upgraded a classic NT4 style BDC to samba 4.2.10 (and after that to
4.2.12, but no improvement...)
It was running on 4.1.17 and wbinfo -u showed a list of our users, and
users of the trusted domain.
running on 4.2.12 it lists only our users.
on a working server:
wbinfo --domain=EXAMPLE -t
checking the trust secret for domain EXAMPLE via RPC calls succeeded
On 4.2.12:

samba 3.5.3: loads of errors copying some simple ACLs with robocopy
Maybe I'm doing somthing really stupid, but while copying some windows
share onto a samba server, on some random subdirectory robocopy
says ERROR 87 (0x00000057) Copying NTFS Security to Destination Directory...
The samba logfile has lots of these lines.
modules/vfs_posixacl.c:349(smb_acl_to_posix)
smb_acl_to_posix: ACL is invalid for set (Das Argument ist ung?ltig)
The strange thing is
