select most frequent value in set of variables
Hi, I would like to select the most frequent value level in a set of three variables. Three different observators have judged hair color in study subjects. Mostly they judge the same color, sometimes there is a slight difference. I want to know what most of the observators have chosen (so at least 2) from the 3 observations. E.g. If two out...

finding the most frequent row
...The "Statistic" of the function is an array of 10 numbers. Therefore if I use 1000 replications, the "t" matrix will have 1000 rows each of which is a bootstrap replicate of this 10 number array (10 columns). Is there any easy way in R to determine which row appears the most frequently? How to get the most frequent value of the subgroup
Dear Members of the R-Help, While using a R function - 'aggregate' that you developed, I become to have a question. In that function, > aggregate(x, by, FUN, ..., simplify = TRUE) I was wondering about what type of FUN I should write if I want to get "the most frequent value of the subgroup" as a summary statistics of the subgroups. I will appreciate if I can get your idea on this issue. Many thanks, Jason Jung. [[alternative HTML version deleted]]

[Xen-API] Frequent I/O error of HTTP server and memory error on XenServer5.6 FP1
Hi, I am using XenServer5.6 FP1 GA release with openvswitch as network backend. When I create VM through xapi, "apache.xmlrpc.XmlRpcException: I/O error" happens very frequently. At meanwhile my xencenter lost connection to hosts. Another thing is when I tried to kill VMs from xencenter, it complains "Internal error:Sys_error("Thread.create: Cannot allocate memory")", see attached picture. does anyone meet similar errors? Thank you....

Power Cut
...main supply power cut at the remote site. The power supply to the remote site comes from battery charger that will be automatically switched in circuit under main supply power cut but cannot provide adequate power for more than 2 hours . I am suspicious that the remote system is suffering from many frequent main supply power cut . Can you please do me favor and let me know if there is any log on my centos server that I can check to see if there would be many frequent power cut there ? Thank you for your time

outlook2007 shows frequent imap disconnect no matter what outlook-idle setting in dovecot.conf
Hello, I saw the problem quite often in various posts but could not find a real solution . Problem is that I frequently get annoying popups from outlook 2007 about imap idle timeouts which block working with outlook until the popup is acknowledged. The popup says: Your IMAP server closed the connection. This can occur if you leave the connection idle for too long. Protocol: IMAP Server: testhost Port:...

Power Cut
Thank you for your reply. You are correct and the ups is present there but the battery charger can no longer bear power cuts more than two hours so I need some means to distinguish frequent power cuts there among the system logs. grouping followed by finding frequent patterns in R
.... . . there are 100 types of CIN (9079954,12441087,15246633,...) and respective TRN_TYP first of all, I want this data to be grouped into basket format: 9079954 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, .... 12441087 19, 14, 21, 3, 7, ... . . . and then apply eclat from arules package to find frequent patterns. 1) I ran the following code: file<-read.csv("D:/R/Practice/Data_Input_NUM.csv") file <- file[!duplicated(file),] eclat(split(file$TRN_TYP,file$CIN)) but it gave me the following error: Error in asMethod(object) : can not coerce list with transactions with duplicated item...

[LLVMdev] [Patch][Review Requested][Compilation Time] Avoid frequent copy of elements in LoopStrengthReduce
Hello, This patch aims to improve compile time performance by increasing the SCEV vector size in LoopStrengthReduce. It is observed that the BaseRegs vector size is 4 in most cases, and elements are frequently copied when it is initialized as SmallVector<const SCEV *, 2> BaseRegs. Our benchmark results show that the compilation time performance improved by ~0.5%. Patch by Wan Xiaofei. Thanks Sriram -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Frequent "Connection reset by peer"
Hi, Is there a way to tell why I'm getting frequent "Connection reset by peer" all of a sudden? I'm using a FreeBSD machine, plugged via eithernet to a Linksys router running DD-WRT, to another Linksys 50 feet away running DD-WRT, both of them WDS'd together, plugged via ethernet to another FreeBSD machine. With debug cranked...

Using frequent keepalives to eliminate need for NAT port forwarding?
...to public PSTN originators via SIP or IAX2, but don't have the option of forwarding any ports (4569, 5060, etc) to the asterisk system. However, the NAT system does properly establish transient UDP forwarding on the basis of outgoing connections, so is it possible to configure asterisk to send frequent keepalive UDP packets (say every 30 seconds) from ports 4569 and 5060 to the PSTN originators in order to keep the NAT system's transient forwarding in effect, so that when the PSTN originator receives inbound calls and attempts to contact my asterisk system, the NAT system won't drop the p...

Using Make in frequent cron job
Is there a way to get Make to be silent when it does nothing, but have its normal verbosity when something is made? I want to use Make in a frequent cron job (every 1/2 hour, perhaps 10 minutes) but I don't want to get a bunch of emails telling me nothing was done (which will be most of the time). I just want to know when it found something to do.

Samba 2.2.4 frequent mangled names clashes
Hi all, while working with Netbench I've discovered that mangled directory names clash rather frequently with Samba 2.2.4: If I take an NT box, open the cmd prompt and make the following directories on a Samba share, client100 and client121, both mangle to CLIEN~GH. If I create directories client100 through client130 I see 11 clashes altogether: CLIEN~GH: client100 client121 CLIEN~MF: client101 c...

(Semi-OT) QoS Question FTP Living with Asterisk
...using the issues. I also run nagios checks on the box and get ping warnings on a regular basis. My question is, how can I throttle the FTP (Standard with dist) transfers using out of the box CentOS4.3 (or any easy to use, low learning curve package)? I thought about FTPing the files at less frequent intervals but that just makes the issue less frequent but last longer. I would like to accomplish throttling FTP on the Linux box with a solution that is not too elegant since this is a production machine in a busy call center. If I cannot do it on the * box I guess my next step is to see if...
