Which encoder?
...cent though the bitrate is really
high(~200 kbps). Their vendor string is Xiphophorus libVorbis I
20000508. I looked on http://wiki.xiph.org/XiphHistory but that doesn't
list any encoders from June 08, 2000. Could these files come from a
pre-Beta1 encoder? It also says it was encoded by FreeRIP MP3 though it
gives no version number.

the album using the same settings (considerably faster rip for some
reason). Problem still existed, though less...

Question, problems re: Ogg Vorbis ..
...'t gotten the Windows GUI encoder to work at all. When I
drag .wav's into the application, I always get "This format is not
supported" errors. Are there any known problems with the Windows GUI
encoder? I'm running Windows 2000 Professional, service pack 1. (I've been
using FreeRIP MP3 to encode my CD's directly to Ogg.)
that's it so far .. thanks!
