[PATCH V5 2/7] xen-netfront: frags -> slots in xennet_get_responses
This function is in fact counting the ring slots required for responses. Separate the concepts of ring slots and skb frags make the code clearer, as now netfront and netback can have different MAX_SKB_FRAGS, slot and frag are not mapped 1:1 any more. [PATCH net-next V2 1/2] net: introduce skb_coalesce_rx_frag()
Sometimes we need to coalesce the rx frags to avoid frag list. One example is virtio-net driver which tries to use small frags for both MTU sized packet and GSO packet. So this patch introduce skb_coalesce_rx_frag() to do this. Cc: Rusty Russell <rusty at rustcorp.com.au> Cc: Michael S. [PATCH net] virtio-net: fix page refcnt leaking when fail to allocate frag skb
We need to drop the refcnt of page when we fail to allocate an skb for frag list, otherwise it will be leaked. The bug was introduced by commit 2613af0ed18a11d5c566a81f9a6510b73180660a ("virtio_net: migrate mergeable rx buffers to page frag allocators"). xennet: skb rides the rocket: 20 slots
Hi Ian, Today i fired up an old VM with a bittorrent client, trying to download some torrents. I seem to be hitting the unlikely case of "xennet: skb rides the rocket: xx slots" and this results in some dropped packets in domU, I don''t see any warnings in dom0. I have added some extra info, but i don''t have enough knowledge if this could/should be prevented from

MMX loop filter for theora-exp
Hello, I would like to announce the semi-optimized oc_state_loop_filter_frag_rows It gains like 7% speedup. Unfortunately it has some issues: 1) wont compile on 64bit (I will fix it later hopefully) 2) is not yet fully optimized (instruction stalls) Here are the results. CPU: Athlon, speed 1466.91 MHz (estimated) Counted CPU_CLK_UNHALTED events (Cycles outside of halt state) with a unit mask
