another missing link in febootstrap; failing tests for libguestfs

worked. I am not certain whether this is the right approach, though.
The next thing I'll be looking at are the following failed libguestfs

Dead keys do not work
Hello,
I m a french user of Gnome / Ubuntu (last version) and wine. I'm quite a beginner on linux. I'm trying to switch totally to linux, but still want to use some windows software with wine which generally works great.
I have figured out that the dead keys did not work on my french keyboard. For instance, I can't type ???????, etc. I will get instead ^e^a etc.

Sys.setlocale("LC_CTYPE","fr_FR.UTF-8")
...run OK under Linux but all accentuated characters appear as "?" when the
script is run under Windows.
As Gtk+ requires UTF-8, I thought it was the source of the problem and
tried to change the default encoding (1252) in the following way:
>Sys.setlocale("LC_CTYPE","fr_FR.UTF-8")
[1] "fr_FR.UTF-8"
But when I try as a check:
>Sys.getlocale("LC_TYPE")
[1] "French_France.1252"
So it seems that Sys.setlocale() has not changed anything. What am I
doing wrong ?
