Megacli issue with Xen PERC 5/i Poweredge 2950 II
I am having an issue with Megacli when adding or removing virtual disks. I will post a link to fpaste that has the issue shown. In brief whenever i add, or remove, a virtual disk via MegaCli the attempt succeeds and the adapter is configured but the OS remounts dm-0 in read only. dm-0 is my root lv. This issue does not happen if i boot into the default, non Xen, CentOS kernel. On stock Cent...

How to setup own i686 buildenv for CentOS7
Hi, all! How to setup own i686 mock for CentOS7? Or, is there any public i686 repo for CentOS7? I found i686 repo available in internal CentOS building environment, from a root.log from a mock build result[1]. New version of UFO - is there a new HOWTO?
I just installed glusterfs-swift 3.3.1 on a couple of Fedora 18 servers. This is based on swift 1.7.4 and has keystone in the config. I had experimented with the one based on swift 1.4.8 and tempauth and had some problems with it. The HOWTO I can find is still for the old one. Is there an updated one? I would also need to find some instructions on setting up keystone from scratch for

Modify Iptables Rules (virbr0 & virbr1)
Hi, I have some guests running in the "default" network (virbr0) and I've also created a similar (NAT) network (virbr1). Therefore, the FORWARD chain for the CentOS 6.4 host looks like this: http://fpaste.org/29229/75281379/ ...where line 3-7 are related to virbr0 and 8-12 to virbr1. My 2 questions: 1) I've noticed that I can ping from a guest within virbr0 to any guest on the virbr1 network. However, I can't do the same from virbr1 (ping guests on virbr0). This is because of "line...

Use of guestmount
...windows guest using 23:43 < belegdol> guestmount -d windows -i --trace --ro /mnt/loop 23:43 < belegdol> but then I cannot access whatever is in /mnt/loop 23:43 < belegdol> I get access denied 23:43 < belegdol> or nautilus says unknown file type 23:44 < belegdol> http://fpaste.org/cIDV/ All I can tell from the paste is that guestmount appears to be working fine. There's not enough detail to tell why things don't work after the disks are mounted. Try running guestmount with the --trace and --verbose options together. Unable to remove failing drive from storage pool
...the pool. I would like to be able to remove the drive from the pool, retaining as much data as possible.  (It''s just TV recordings, so a little corruption shouldn''t be too much of a problem). I am using version 2.6.32 of the kernel. The relevant part of the dmesg output: http://fpaste.org/jnz8/ The part of the kernel state that seemed like they might be relevant: http://fpaste.org/0KKR/ btrfs-vol is towards the bottom.  The entire state dump didn''t fit in my dmesg buffer so there might be something missing. Thanks, Erik Jensen -- To unsubscribe from this list: send t...

CentOS 5 grub boot problem
I never thought I'd say this, but I think it's easier to do this with GRUB 2. Anyway I did an installation to raid1's in CentOS 6's installer, which still uses GRUB legacy. I tested removing each of the two devices and it still boots. These are the commands in its log: : Running... ['/sbin/grub-install', '--just-copy'] : Running... ['/sbin/grub',

How can I debug more ? Regards, C?dric
