Samba locking with NFS backend.

share mode, then byte-range locking operations will fail as the lock has

Is this a known issue with a sollution, or have I fould a problem here
without a current sollution?
Thanks a lot,

If you're asking a more generic "why are you doing this?" question; I am
including the RPM in a project we're working on and I don't want to risk
running fould of the CentOS project by directly redistributing their
(and RHEL's) rpms.

Vacation: Missing file .dovecot.lda-dupes ?
...nt when ever
a mail is received. What I want is, that the reply should only be sent
one time to each user.
My understanding is, that a list of people who have received the
vacation message should be stored in the file .dovecot.lda-dupes in the
users folder. This file is not present in my users fould. I have tried
creating the file, but this makes no difference.
Any ideas?

I want to create a open/high/low/last plot of intraday data.
I try to use the function plotOHLC from the tsteries package. I create

Is Samba ready for it?
Hi,
I am migrating from WinNT 4 to Samba 3 beta3 in a production
environment.
It would be nice to have some advice, because I don't know if Samba is
ready for assuming this ;-)
I never heard about any one that had something like this.
This is kind of a big network so it will be 1 PDC (Samba) , 4 BDC's
(Samba) and 2 File Servers (w2k). I will have a minimum of 800 machines
and 2000 users

486 custom kernel
Hi all,
Is it possible to take the 686 CentOS 5, install that in virtual machine,
install a custom kernel that is the 486 flavor, take that image and
put it on a 8G CF card - insert that into a small form factor 486 class
machine and have that work?
I am hoping the extra instructions in a 686 (MMX, SEE etc) are not used
by any libraries
that I would be using (just standard stuff) and the new
