DNS forwading for host *within* AD
Hi, I am currently running Samba 4.0.9 as a DC. My AD domain and Kerberos realm is "domain.com". Although this was not considered when we set up the domain, now we need "foo.domain.com" to be resolved externally by our ISP DNS server. I tried to configure BIND as a backend and to manuallly add a zone " foo.domain.com", type forward, but it does not work (Samba DLZ

[Bridge] bridge stp problem
...|Linksys |----------<PC> When i ping from my PC to the board (when both ixp0 and ixp1 are connected to the switch), everything works fine. In that case ixp1 is in blocking state and ixp0 is in forwarding state. The issue here is when i unplug ixp0 from the switch (the one which is forwading state), ixp1 comes to forwardinmg state after the state changes(listening-learning---forwading), but there is a huge delay of around 15-17 mins till i can ping the board(IXP425) from my PC. i went through the bridging code and put debug messages to see that it comes to forwarding state immedi...

problem sending/recieving mails
...act as LAN gateway and also as a transparent proxy server but all client "passing through" that server are enable to send or recieve mails. The mail server is host on the same LAN running mdaemon, both servers are on private IP block(192.168.0.0/24). Am using cisco router to do port forwading for mailserver(25,110,143) ports. If i eliminate CentOS box and direct traffic direct to cisco router everything works. My question is why is it when i use CentOS box as LAN gateway clients are unable to send/receive mails? I ave done nating on that box. Centos 5.5 full updated.

SAMBA and Subnet Browsing
Hi, I have 3 Samba servers run Samba 2.0.7 on RH6.2, with Kernel 2.2.16-3. Everything seems to be OK, except that my Win9x clients cannot see other Win9x clients across the subnets. Each server has 2 n/w cards installed, with IP Forwading enabled etc. If the user knows the machine name, he can get access to the shared resources across all 3 subnets, but using the n/w neighbourhood browser, shows only those users on the same subnet. The Win9x clients are all set to point to the same primary WINS server, and the secondary WINS server...

Dovecot proxy and password scheme updating
Hello, I run a dovecot proxy (which is doing authentification itself) and a dovecot backend on separate boxes. I want to change the actual password scheme. Since postlogin scripting is not supported by proxies and %w variable is not forwaded to dovecot backend is there any way that I can update the password scheme with my current setup ? Thanks in advance.

[Bug 395] ident-protocol gives "root" as connection owner
...---------------------------------------------------------- Status|NEW |RESOLVED Resolution| |FIXED ------- Additional Comments From djm at mindrot.org 2002-09-12 16:29 ------- Recent versions (using privsep) establish port-forwadings as the owner of the connection. In any case, this is not a "severe security flaw" unless you are misguided enough to use identd for authentication. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee.

Caller ID spoofing
Hello everybody! I am having the following problem and since I am a beginner in playing with asterisk, i can't solve it: I am trying to integrate my existing H.323 network in real world telephony by ISDN cards. The problem is that i DON'T want to change all e164 numbers in my h.323 network and my ISDN provider doesn't accept those identities (CIDs). So, i have to spoof the outgoing

Winbind type email
Hello all Sorry to post this hugely off-topic, but i have no clue where to start. We are looking to replace an Exchange server with something with less licencing issues, is there a way to use windbind (or winbind-ish behaviour) for an email server (ie users authenticate through winbind to log on to imap server etc). Once again, sorry for the mispost, even a push in the right direction will

Change of listening ports - is it possible?
...llocate the same ports as above. For ports used by bricks (49152 and higher) I found in /etc/glusterfs/glusterd.vol: option base-port 49152 But I do not see in manpage and help info of glusterd/glusterfsd/glusterfs options to change 24007 and 24008 ports. Is there a known way to do it or is port forwading my only option? Thanks! BR, Rafal. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Is there a known way to do it or is port forwading my only option? They are not configurable. I also don't see how port forwarding would help you. What works is giving a different IP to each container and that allows all glusterd processes to bind on 24007. Thanks! BR, Rafal. _______________________________________________ Gluster-users...

[Bridge] One NIC not bridging?
...100: eth1: e100_watchdog: link up, 100Mbps, full-duplex br0: port2(eth1) entering learning state br0: topology change detected, propogating br0: port2(eth1) entering forwarding state All that looks fine for eth1. But after eth0 enters promiscuous mode, it never enters a learning state, and never a forwading state. What I've tried so far: * echo "1" > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/ip_forward * Checked for IRQ conflicts w/ the NICs. * Moved NICs to different PCI slots * switched cable so network side is in eth0, local side on eth1. Same results as above but reversed, i.e. eth1 then has the proble...
