[PATCH] xen-blk[front|back] FUA additions.
I am proposing these two patches for 3.2. They allow the backend to process the REQ_FUA request as well. Previous to these patches it only did REQ_FLUSH. There is also a bug-fix for the logic of how barrier/flushes were handled. The patches are based on a branch which also has ''feature-discard'' patches, so they won''t apply nativly on top of 3.1-rc5. Please review and

Currently the version of Samba available on Ubuntu 18.04 is 4.7.6. I would like to use version 4.8, is there a repository for 4.8 on Ubuntu that anybody recommends or knows of? Torin Woltjer Grand Dial Communications - A ZK Tech Inc. Company 616.776.1066 ext. 2006 www.granddial.com

Jumpstart Preschool
I'm trying to get Knowledge Adventure's Jumpstart Preschool to run under wine 0.9 on debian stable. According to <http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?appId=801> this program works flawlessly. But when I try it, it runs until I get just past the introduction and then a sudden crash. Fortunatly it keeps a log and the log says: MIDI driver error processing MENU\MID\MM000_.WSB So my question is: Does anyone know whats going on and how I can fix it? Does anyone have any experience with running Jumpstart Preschool under wine? Thanks

...to suggest that Agents are a deprecated feature. AgentLogin. AgentCallbackLogin is depreciated but what has it been replaced by? Not sure what AgentLogin is actually useful for. AgentCallbackLogin in the Management API does not set ${AGENTBYCALLERID_${CALLERID(num)}} I guessing this is a error, fortunatly I've worked out a way to get round it. (setvar) The is no way to log an agent in from the Command Line Interface. AgentLogoff Easy so long as you know the agent id you need to logoff, which means using ${AGENTBYCALLID_${CALLERID(num)}} Queues really have very little to do with Agents as any...

ntp and samba4
Hi all Recently i noticed that upon starting the samba4 'samba' daemon, that it changes the group ownership of the socket for ntpd to *staff* $ls -l /usr/local/samba/var/lib/ntp_signd/ total 0 srwxrwxrwx 1 root *staff* 0 May 6 16:35 socket The documentation says it needs to be *ntp*.... (FYI: i'm running this on debian wheezy) I have just added ntp to group staff, but that seems

Sony SonicStage
Hello there, Santa went to me with a nice Sony "Hi-MD" and fortunatly the Company did it right to retain my anger alive against all those dickheads: Windows-only sw suite. Oh, yes ! i can still use it: audio recording (thanks!) to leverage quality at best, and tracks and groups renaming by hand on the MD itself using the jog-shuttle... soooo nice ! Well, to make the...

SMBFS files receiving incorrect timestamps
Hello all. Our system consists of two linux machines, each running Red Hat 7.1 (kernel 2.4.9-34), using SMB to mount multiple shares hosted by a Windows 2000 Advance Server. smbclient from Samba 2.2.5 is used to do the actual mounting. Over the weekend, a number of files on these SMBFS shares were created with incorrect timestamps (modification times). In some cases, the timestamps were off by

File changed as we read it.....
Hi, This is probably a newbie question, but here goes. I am using samba to mount some windows box's hard drives to a linux box for the purpose of doing backups on the windows boxes. This is done late at night and I am SURE that no one is using the windows boxes.... While backing up I often see tar complain as follows: "tar: IssRating/C4dll.dll: file changed as we read it" or

nessusd on shorewall
Hi, I have shorewall version 1.4.10g on Redhat 9 Local clients are on eth1 in subnet 192.168.3.0/24. eth0 is for the outside (over xdsl with includes a ppp0 interface). Nessus (nessusd) is installed *on the firewall* and managed trough nessus (the client or frontend) running on one of the internal machines.
