Samba User Nightmare
Hey, I need help! (I'm kinda new to this.),
This past weekend I switched over our server at work from a MS NT 4.0
server to a Red Hat Linux version 9 server.
I had to set up several network shares via Samba. For testing purposes I
set up a former employee's account on the new server. This account would
enable me to communicate with the old server and the new to copy over
files. All the

New branch names
I have changed the branch names around to better match current reality.
The branches are now:
syslinux-4.xx -- 4.xx maintenance branch (former master)
syslinux-5.xx -- 5.xx maintenance branch (former elflink)
master -- development branch (6.xx, former firmware)
Hopefully this will help avoid further confusion.

[LLVMdev] Removing SimpleRewriter (formerly SimpleSpiller)
Hi all,
Is anyone still using SimpleRewriter (formerly known as
SimpleSpiller)? A quick check with the test suite suggests that it's
badly broken. If it's not being used I'd like to remove it as part of
my tidy-up of the register allocator.

Init nnetTs (or nnet?) with a former Neural Net
I am new to R and use nnetTs - calls.
If a time series of let's say 80000 Datapoints and did call nnetTs I want
make a new net
for the old ponts plus the next 1000 points (81000 datapoints total) what
would again
cost much calculation time.
So I want to pre-init the new net with the former wonnen net to reduce the
necessary
iteration numbers.
Is thee a possibility to do that and how?

Getting rid of my former cards: NV4B*2, NVA0*1
Hi.
I am getting rid of my former nvidia graphic cards. Their models are
not listed on
http://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/HardwareDonations/
but as advised, I post here.
Hardware:
- 7600GS 256MB (2 cards)
Maker: Gigabyte, originally in SLI setup (wink, wink)
Outputs: VGA, DVI-I, s-video, SLI
- GTX280 1GB (1 card)
Maker unsure, only nvidia markings visible, but possibly ASUS

Precision for a former question*
I got many answers to the question I asked below , and I thank you all.
Several of you told me to use ->> but told also that "it is not a
recommendable way of items manipulating in R".
I don't really understand what it exactly means :
1) does it mean it's not a very good way of programming , a
dangerous way of programming because the variable a can be modified ? ,
etc

Trouble (?) reformatting flash drive to include former U3 partition
Semi-OT?
I just got a new SanDisk 8GB flash drive, and, as usual, it came with
the U3 software (for Windoze) on a "CD" partition and considerably
less than 8GB on the disk partition. I put it into my WinXP portable
and told U3 to delete itself, but I still can't get at the old U3 part
of the drive. I've tried WinXP's format command, disk management and
CentOS's fdisk,

Hello,
The following code is expected to produce 4 charts. But, I only get charts 1,2 ,& 4, NOT CHART # 3.
For Chart# 3, I am getting the following error message: Error in tapply(1:NROW(x), list(factor(strata)), function(index) { : arguments must have same length
I would appreciate if someone could help me resolve the issue.
Thanks,

at&t (formerly SBC, formerly Southwestern Bell, formerly AT&T) just came out and installed my PRI. FYI, they used Cat 5e cable. No special T1 cabling that costs a fortune to buy somewhere, just plain old Cat 5e cable. Guess what guys? If they are using this as customers' sites, they are probably using...

[LLVMdev] Removing SimpleRewriter (formerly SimpleSpiller)
The new spilling framework inserts spill code in-place (during
register allocation) rather than deferring it using
VirtRegMap/VirtRegRewriter. The goal is to enable techniques like
iterative splitting to be implemented. It should also be a bit tidier
as it keeps more state in the MachineFunction, rather than in
book-keeping structures like VirtRegMap. The work is in the very early
stages though.
