RJS & IE Woes
Hi, I''m trying to do a very simple slide_down effect with RJS templates. Basically a user selects a check box and a text box slides down. This works great in firefox, but causes IE to crash. The text box appears and slides down. Then the browser crashes. the in the partial is <div id=''forklift_div''> <label for=''incident_forklift''>Was

Even if I am still thinking in the past it doesn't invalidate the problem I came here to get guidance on. Instead I just get talked down to by some or others don't even read the situation I'm trying to solve. I don't need it to work like it used to in the NT4 sense. I don't need to use NT4 protocols. I'm just in need of not having Samba4 write in all of its documentation

Forklift a 2000 phone PBX
I'm staring at an RFP--this company wants to replace a 2000 position PBX (at eight locations) with a new system. Their mindset is Nortel/Avaya because they talk about 28-button digital sets. The do specify a few IP phones for just one location, so they are aware of VoIP. I'm going to bid on this--there's nothing to lose except the time it takes to write the proposal. I'll

The reason we are also looking into gluster is that we like that it uses standard components

Norstar MICS
I am currently working on an Asterisk test system, and will be presenting a demo to the Board of Directors tomorrow night. I want to make sure I have all of my ducks in a row. The Asterisk system will be used to replace a Norstar MICS. The location has two PRI's coming in, with a few hundred DIDs. I know how to make * use the DIDs incoming, and I know how Nortel uses the DIDs. Now for the

Dovecot IMAPS : Thunderbird SSL cert issue / Evolution OK
Evolution prompted to accept the cert; which I did. Thunderbird used to prompt and allow acceptance; it no longer does... well sorta does. See my other posting for a screenshot where it shows "add server location https:// ...." HTTPS . no way to add from SMTP. Have also tried typing smtp://host:25 and https://host:25 On 4/30/20 5:39 PM, Joseph Tam wrote: > On Thu, 30 Apr 2020,

Upgrade Samba versions on the domain
We're adding a new datacenter and am taking the opportunity to upgrade Samba version to 4.11. We have three AD servers currently on version 4.7.9.? I plan to add a new AD DC, version 4.11, by joining it to the domain. Can the domain function in production with three DCs on 4.7.9, and a new one running 4.11 ? Thanks,-Mike

merging Maildir from old machine to new machine
Dovecot version 1.0.rc26. Situation is essentially a forklift upgrade to make more horsepower available for email. Given a new mail store using Postfix and Dovecot (Maildir), is it possible to transfer from the old mail box (running the same config) or will this generate problems with the various indices maintained by Dovecot? Kind regards and thanks/ldv Larry Vaden Internet Texoma, Inc.

upgrade dhcpd failover set from centos 5.x ->7.x
Is there a less drastic way to upgrade a pair of dhcpd servers on Centos 5.x than forklifting the old boxes out and hoping the replacements work?. The failover protocol seems to be incompatible so I just upgrade one at a time.... Has anyone been through this with a clever solution - like compiling a new dhcpd on the old boxes for an easy rollback? -- Les Mikesell lesmikesell a...

Asterisk as Voicemail Server for Option 61c?
Looks like we will be forced to make a move on our voicemail system as Nortel has declared Meridian Mail an end of life product. Frustrating thing is that it would seem their only reason for it is so they can force our hand to move to Call Pilot. Is there any documentation and feedback out there of how people have used Asterisk as a voicemail system for a legacy PBX? We've got about
