I've forgotten, why is box("") the default?
I've searched on CRAN for axes, axis, and other terms I've already forgotten, without (re)discovering the reason for S using "non-joining" axes by default, instead of box("l"). MASS points me towards Cleveland (1993) but I don't have ready access to this any more. Could someone give me a one-liner to justify this choice to a sceptic? It's so...

Wrong version of php
It's been a while since I updated to php72 on this machine and there is some setting I must have forgotten. Apache, root and a user automatically get php72 when I run php in a terminal window, however, a php script picks up the wrong version of php, ie php54 and the version of php in /usr/bin/php is indeed version 5.4. I have googled without finding the answer but how do I make sure /all/ processes use...

The undef story
...d to let the compiler continue mis-compiling the function-inlining example, others have decided to not fix the inability to hoist a loop invariant divide out of a loop. It sounds like you haven’t even thought about these things let alone be convinced by anything. Am I missing something or have you forgotten what we are talking about here ? Peter Lawrence.

[LLVMdev] Forgotten remains in LoopIterator.h
Hi @llvm, I had to comment out template<> struct DFSetTraits<LoopBlocksTraversal> { static void finishPostorder(BasicBlock *BB, LoopBlocksTraversal& LBT) { LBT.finishPostorder(BB); } }; in LoopIterator.h in order to get the latest llvm compiling. I guess it is going to be removed anyway. Best regards Olaf Krzikalla

Ignored mount points forgotten on reboot
<https://wiki2.dovecot.org/Mountpoints> The list of ignored mount points are stored in a directory (/var/run) that's cleared on reboot. (On CentOS it's a RAM disk.) It seems this should be stored in /etc/dovecot to remain persistent across reboots. <https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Filesystem_Hierarchy_Standard> I discovered this when I saw a dovecot error message in

Re: Prince of Persia : Forgotten Sands = No sound
I am sorry to say, but for me it still doesn' work. Do you have more hints how to narrow down what's causing the problem? Thank you in advance.

My nut-snmp has forgotten how to speak IETF RFC1628!
[I had a look through the mail archives before sending this, but I didn't find anyone else having this issue.] Has anyone seen this before? I'm almost 100% certain I tested this nut correctly detected OB LB in the past, but when I happened to look at it today, I see it refusing to work -- apparently because the NUT client knows how to ask for RFC1628 OIDs, but not what to do with the

Counting observations split by a factor when there are NAs in the data
...of observations of one column of data split by a factor when there are NAs in the data. I know how to use commands like tapply and summaryBy to obtain other summary statistics I am interested in, such as the following: tapply(RLWTEST, list(STATUS), mean, na.rm=T) summaryBy(RLWTEST~STATUS, data=lh.forgotten, FUN=c(mean, sd, min, max), na.rm=T) However, with tapply I know I cannot use length to get a count where there are NAs. summaryBy appears to work the same way. I do know how to get a count of the entire column using sum: sum(!is.na(lh.forgotten$RLWTEST)) However, this does not give me a count sp...

Can't Load Text Files
Hi, I've completely forgotten how to do R, and it seems I can't even load simple files correctly. I have two tab deliminated text files (attached, these were test files of the larger data files I'm trying to work with) that I am trying to load into R so that I can merge them. They were originally excel files but I...

Mention about an open source image editor
Some days back there was a mention about an open source image editor that people uses for application layout designing. I have forgotten about the name of that software. Can someone send me the link? Silvy Mathews

Replacing all NA values in a matrix
OK, dumb question, and it is probably in the docs somewhere, but after 12 months working with R and quite a while looking at the docs, I still don't know (or have forgotten) how to replace all NA values in a matrix at once with some other value. I can do it column by column using is.na(), but I can't figure out how to do it for the whole matrix. My apologies, I am ashamed ;-) Michael Watson Head of Informatics Institute for Animal Health, Compton Laboratory, Co...

Bridge 2 incoming calls
I think I've forgotten something obvious.... I've got 2 incoming calls, I want to bridge them - how can I do this ? (assume I somehow know which calls should be paired up...) I could dump them both in a meetme - but that seems wasteful as i _know_ there will only ever be 2 parties. (And I need DTMF to flow through...

Random DTMF tones generated from speech in conversations
Hi, My Asterisk systems runs like a dream with mISDN, SIP and even and old Digium board. But have almost in every conversation some irritating DTMF being generated. The seems to be just as often from all trunks but are worse if noise load speaker in other end. Any good advices? Where to look for forgotten DTMF detection settings? Thank you! HB

sun x2100 gmirror problem
...- device detached After this, the disk disappeared from the sata channel completely. The wierd is that we used the onboard nvidia-raid and the very same error occured, but there was no report in the kernel the machine just don't asked for operating system. Later I found out that the disk was forgotten ~2 weeks before that reboot (data was ~2 week old on it). Otherwise that "forgotten/failed" disk was also half year old and was fine without a problem. Is there anybody who experienced something similar with SUN X2100 or any other servers running FreeBSD 6 and sata? Regards, Andras

3.7.1 Release Update - Stable patches deadeline extended to November 9 - testers needed
...ovember 10, so if there are any newly submitted patches that take more than a few days to get approved, they will probably end up going into llvm 3.7.2. I am currently working through my list of candidate stable patches to make sure everything is getting approved / merged. If you think I may have forgotten about your patch, please ping the thread or the audit on phabricator. As always we need testers for the releases, so if you are interested in doing testing, let me know. Thanks, Tom

string syntactic sugar in R? - long post
...ne using 'paste' and can be an error-prone and traumatic experience. For example, when constructing a db query we have to write, paste("SELECT " value " FROM table where date ='",cdate,"'") we are getting null result from it, because without (forgotten...) sep="" we get SELECT value FROM table where date=' 2005-05-05 ' instead of SELECT value FROM table where date='2005-05-05' Adding sep="" as a habit results in other errors, like column names joined with keywords - because of forgotten spaces.
