screenshot of? http://aiai.de/foren/scientificLinux_tab.png
I clicked anywhere inside, but anywhere the key "tab" changed
between kvm windows.

Hello richard, Experts ,
Sorry for my offtopic post,
During our maillinglist disscussions
in the emac-list i thought of making an announcement.
Long times ago, there was a smart video chat tool,
called CuSeeMe. I am tied a little bit on the tool.
Nowadays with the all this Streaming Servers the
time for video chat tools is coming back with power.
So, I thought, it would be a smart idea

How to deal with pciback?
Hello everybody,
for just one week I try to install three servers on an OpenSuSE 10.3
dom0 equipped with 4 NICs. One server is an OX using the onboard NIC via
xenbr0. This server runs!! For my IPCop server I intended to use the
three remaining NICs (Intel Pro100/S, 3Com 3C590, Realtek RTL-8139).
These three NICs should be used natively by my IPCop. So I tried to use
the pciback driver. I wrote a

LSUB output format != LIST output format
Hi,
I have a problem with my hanging claws-mail. I first subscribed to
their bug tracker, described the problem and before I pressed on submit
in their bugtracker, I realized it might be a problem with dovecot.
I'm using dovecot for internal purposes only (catching all my external
boxes and storing locally):

[Fwd: Re: : Win XP Client does not remove directories]
Hello Mailinglist,
I still have the problem, which is described in my first and second post
with this topic, that i sometimes can't delete directories on the
Samba-Server from WinXP machines.
I can't send my Ethereal-Logs to the list, but i send them to Jeremy,
who never answered me anyway.
If anyone can help me or would like to see the Ethereal-Logs, with the
fact, that Windows

Hi @all,
Can someone please just confirm me, that Samba doesn't remove a
directory in case of a "SET_FILE_INFO"-Request for this directory?
The following abstract is out of an Ethereal-Log and shows a

RE: samba smbd version 2.2.12 HP CIFS Server A.01.11.04 does hang if start in a HP serviceguard configuration
Hi Wolfgang,
from your tusc trace, what's happening is that smbd is hanging on a lock call on the secrets.tdb. Chances are good that either rpc.lockd is not running, or out of sync, etc; I can force this to happen, pretty much the exact same trace, by killing my lockd daemon on the system where I am running samba before I try to start it up. locking problems over nfs is one good reason that

Synology shares not accessible...
Hi,
to all of you which are using Synology NAS systems.
With SMB-Service 4.15.9-0631 no longer shares are accessible via domain
group rights from a Samba 4.17.7 domain.
It seems the same error described in the following mail trails:
"No longer access to shares after upgrade to 4.17.3"
"File server joined to a samba domain accessed by windows 10-11 clients,

Difference between share access from Windows and Linux
Hi All,
I have a - maybe dumb - question:
What is the difference between an access to a Samba share from Linux and
from Windows?
Is there a difference in protocol or getting share rights or anything
else? I think I remember that there is.
Maybe someone can push into the direction of a documentation.
Base for this question is a ticket I have open with Synology. There is

Synology shares not accessible...
This is the essence of the last message from Synology:
For Synology the problem is no problem...
They simply say now, we never claimed we are compatible with Samba AD,
only with Windows AD, Azure AD and Synology Directory Server:
?? ?"Domain/LDAP
?? ?Features
??? Seamless integration with Windows AD, Azure AD Domain Service, and
LDAP servers"

Synology shares not accessible...
Yes, in my opinion quite an arrogancy...
This is the translation of what I got from the supporter:
"Our developers have discussed and have concluded that we stand by our
previous statement and define the problem as a problem of Samba AD
Server (4.17.*). Although Synology is an open source product based on
Samba, but we don't always stick to it and adapt our own code in many

Synology shares not accessible...
Hi Vincent,
in my case access via hostname doesn't work. That seems to be a Kerberos
problem, as access via IP works. IP access uses NTLM authentication.
With SMB-Service 4.15.9-0619 (was the Beta) it worked, with the released
version 4.15.9-0632 not anymore.
If you change one library in the released version to the one from Beta
(libidmap-samba4.so) then the released version works again.
