Duplication in dtrace''s forceload entries in /etc/system
Hi,
If you have a custom kernel (and therefore have duplicates of
everything in /kernel in your custom kernel) and have noticed that when
you try to use anonymous tracing, dtrace adds multiple copies of the
forceload directives to /etc/system, e.g.:
* vvvv Added by DTrace
*
* The following forceload directives were added by dtrace(1M) to allow for
* tracing during boot. If these

One of the customer is seeing the following error messages.
He is using a S10U1 system with all latest patches.

What could be the problem?
Thanks,

Anon tracing error?
Hello,
I''ve done this several times in the past but a co-worker is having problems
getting anonymous tracing to work:
dtrace -A -m su
and we see updated /kernel/drv/dtrace.conf and fbt and dtrace forceloads
added to /etc/system. Upon reboot the following errors occur (note that
we are running snv_66):
{0} ok boot disk

Problem loading AstDB into variable on restart
I define
[globals]
myvar = ${DB(store/myvar)}
---
But when I want to use ${myvar} in the dial plan, I found that the variable
is null when Asterisk is restarted. Only a reload would force globals to
read AstDB. Other variables in globals loads fine.
Any idea? (Asterisk 1.2.13)

PCIe AER support in 5.5
I have a question about getting PCIe advanced error reporting to work on 5.5.
The info I need to start with is the following:
1) Is PCIe Advanced Error Reporting (including error injections) known to work in 5.5?
2) What configuration options do I need to select in order to enable it?
I'm using the following configs:
CONFIG_ACPI=y
CONFIG_PCI=y
CONFIG_PCI_DIRECT=y
CONFIG_PCI_MMCONFIG=y

installing a pseudo driver in a Solaris DOM U and DOM U reboot
Hello,
on a v20z, we have as DOM 0 a Solaris XEN on snv44 64bits
and we have as DOM U a Solaris XEN on snv44 64 bits.
We then install a pseudo driver in the Solaris DOM 1 XEN snv44:
installation is ok and driver works as expected.
But on reboot of DOM 1, the driver is no more
there (in modinfo, driver not found).
Is there something special to do after a pseudo driver installation in
a Solaris

Changing rpool device paths/drivers
Hello all,
It was often asked and discussed on the list about "how to
change rpool HDDs from AHCI to IDE mode" and back, with the
modern routine involving reconfiguration of the BIOS, bootup
from separate live media, simple import and export of the
rpool, and bootup from the rpool. The documented way is to
reinstall the OS upon HW changes. Both are inconvenient to
say the least.

R CMD REMOVE etc. query
I've been working on a fairly complex package that is a wrapper for several optimization
routines. In this work, I've attempted to do the following:
- edit the package code foo.R
- in a root terminal at the right directory location
R CMD REMOVE foo
R CMD INSTALL foo
However, I don't get the right code. In fact, if I just do the remove,
library(foo)
does not throw an

On a Lenny system, with dahdi 2.4.0, libpri 1.4.11.5 and asterisk 1.6.1.18,

Does "sink" stand for anything?
Hello Everyone,
Learning about R and its wonderful array of functions. If it's not obvious, I usually try to find out what a function stands for. I think this helps me remember better.
One function that has me stumped is "sink." Can anyone tell me if this stands for something?
Thanks,
Paul
