Samba Permissions
Hi,
I have a case where I only want to restrict access to SMB shares via filesystem permissions (and POSIX ACLs). Therefore, I do not want Samba to verify security in any way at the SMB level. If the filesystem/ACL permissions allow access to the shared directory, so should Samba. If the filesystem does not allow access to the filesystem, Samba should deny as well.

Finding points with equal probability between normal distributions
Dear mailing list,
For two normal distributions, e.g:
r1 =rnorm(20,5.2,2.1)
r2 =rnorm(20,4.2,1.1)
plot(density(r2), col="blue")
lines(density(r1), col="red")
Is there a way in R to compute/estimate the point(s) x where the density of the
two distributions cross (ie where x has equal probability of belonging to
either of the two distributions)?
Many Thanks
Eleni

Winbind/ntlm_auth issues
Hi,
I'm struggling to get squid+ntlm_auth working correctly. I have successfully joined the domain, and I am able to successfully enumerate groups and users using wbinfo. I can also successfully run "wbinfo -a."
However, once I configure Squid to use ntlm_auth per:
auth_param ntlm program /usr/bin/ntlm_auth --helper-protocol=squid-2.5-ntlmssp --debug-level=10 --nt-response

heartbeat package in extras trouble with 5.4
I just recently upgraded a box from i386 5.3 -> 5.4. The box has heartbeat packages installed from "extras:"
heartbeat-pils-2.1.3-3.el5.centos
heartbeat-stonith-2.1.3-3.el5.centos
heartbeat-devel-2.1.3-3.el5.centos
heartbeat-2.1.3-3.el5.centos
The heartbeat daemon no longer starts.. the init script reports a success, as well as the logs:
