using links makes troubles
Hi!
Following situation (using Samba 2.2.3a):
We have a script which creates unix links in the users home dir's. Which
links it creates depends on the user's groups.
For example: If a user is member of group "import" it creates a link to
/data/import.
And if a users is member of group "export" it creates a link to /data/export
Then we map his home to a drive letter

Hi,
Ive installed samba 2.2.0 on a redhat linux 7.1. When I try to write a file
with windows 2000 its all ok. But when I try it with a win 98 or ME Ive an
error (Disk full or permission denied).
Why I have this problem?
Thanks a lot

trusted domains - samba user authentification
Hi!
Background: We have a normal NT 4.0 Domain called AIRPORT and a Windows 2000
Domain (server is in mixed mode) called MAIL. Connected to the AIRPORT
Domain is a Samba 2.0.6 Server with security = domain. Both domains are
trusting each other.
I've a little problem understanding the user authentification with the
trusted
MAIL domain. I'll it explain with a little example:
